Adidas Ultraboost | Mesh | Boost | Rubber |
Puma Tazon 6 | Synthetic | EVA | Rubber |
The Nike Men's Air Monarch IV Cross Trainer excels in several key areas that matter to an active lifestyle. First, the comfort level is outstanding, thanks to the cushioned midsole and Air-Sole technology, which absorbs shock effectively. This feature is particularly beneficial during long training sessions, where foot fatigue can be an issue.
In terms of durability, the leather upper stands out. It not only adds to the shoe's aesthetic appeal but also enhances its lifespan, making it a worthwhile investment. The perforations assist with ventilation, keeping your feet dry throughout your workout.
When examining performance, the rubber outsole performs admirably, providing steady traction whether you are running on a treadmill or hitting the pavement. However, it's worth noting that the weight of the shoe may be a consideration for those who prefer lighter options.
Overall, the Air Monarch IV is a versatile choice for anyone looking for reliable cross-training shoes without compromising on style or comfort.

I’m on my feet all day at work and they are so conformable. They hold up very well and give great support.
I have tried every brand of training, walking, and aerobic shoe and I finally found a shoe that can stand up to my active exercise lifestyle. I used to turn my ankle a few times a year with other shoes and my metatarsal would be sore to the touch at least once a month. Since I have been wearing these Air Monarchs, I have not turned an ankle and my metatarsal is never sore. I have recently started using orthotics for my other shoes and they fit perfectly in the Air Monarchs with plenty of toe room. The last in these shoes is very strong and the shoes will retain form anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on how many classes you take a week. If you workout indoors, the soles will not breakdown. I have pronounced pronation so I tend to wear out shoe soles quickly when I walk a lot, but indoors the first part of the shoe to age is the last and the shoes start to provide less support. The ball area has a round sole support which is good for spinning, turning, and other jazzercize moves.I also tend to wear holes in the toe area. Because these shoes are leather, toe wear is non-existent.I highly recommend these shoes for any type of aerobic exercise.I finally zeroed in on a size comfortable for me that is one size larger than my regular shoe size, primarily because I wear thick socks when I exercise which helps stimulate blood return as I am considered beyond middle age and my feet can swell more often. I would recommend you try shoe sizes before you buy. I order one size up on all Nike gear from experience.
Fit great, feel great. I don’t walk so well anymore. Last pair of shoes I wore hurt my feet immediately after putting them on. Made being able to walk even harder.First day I put these on I wore them all day long and by the end of the night my feet still felt great.
I have four pairs of Nike Air Monarchs in different colors. I rotate them weekly.Very good shoe for an old fat man. Just started wearing them this week and while they are good looking and comfortable they are now already squeaking. Very frustrating, especially at work.
Have wide foot so many sneakers sold won't get past my toes. They are that small. I have tried on many in stores only to leave without any. The Monarch sneaker fits really good. I have used it for over 7 years always buying a new pair without even looking for any other brand. Most footwear is highly overpriced and hardly worth the money when you learn the true cost to produce them. Monarch, according to price standards, as within the norm and held up well.
Great shoe for my active 12-yr old son. Super comfortable and well-made. We’ll be buying them again! These shoes have a real “tongue” (unlike the crummy ones that are all sewn together in one piece with no real tongue and are hard to get your foot into).
Good fit and style
My son looks very cool with these shoes. He says they are very comfortable.
