I have had three runs with the shoes and I have found the shoes to be extremely comfortable. The shoe is well-made and is very light and my orthotics fit in the shoes perfectly. I was previously running in the new balance beacon which has since been discontinued. This seems to be a good substitute for that shoe. Time will tell if the shoe holds up well I really do like the styling of the shoe especially this color, which has a tie in with the New York Roadrunners New York City marathon. This is the version three. The version four is supposed to be coming out soon.
My favorite running shoes for tempo or faster. I get excited every time I get to wear these.
Shoe fit great. They are very comfortable and lightweight. Nice feel when you are running.
From the first moment I put on these shoes and went for a run, I loved them. They're perfect for knocking out several miles at a hustling pace and they live up to the hype. Unfortunately, they began to fall apart after only three months of regular (but not excessive) use on paved surfaces. Chunks of the sole are peeling off in a big way. At this price point, I expected to get at least half of a year out of the shoes. Was tempted to give three stars but upped it to four just because of how great these shoes were at the outset.
Running is very comfortable!
Nice shoe, great heel squish, but the midsole under the forefoot feels comparatively hard because there's not enough there, the upper is tight on the metatarsals, and the shoe feels unstable. These went back and I kept the Asics Gel Nimbus 25s.
Its a fantastic shoe, wish it was a bit cheaper. not work 150$.Pros:- Stylish- lightweight- sizing is on point- durableCons:- not enough cushion, feet tend to ache after a few hours
Whether the runner is a man or woman or 130 pounds or 200, I cannot imagine them lasting more than a couple of months with any kind of daily running. I walked back and forth on my living room carpet and on the hardwood in the hallway and could just tell they were not for me. I have been wearing New Balance since 1979 and need the extra wide shoe. I thought the lightweight Rebel would be a decent replacement for the dear departed Beacon - why does NB yank such great shoes? - but no way would they work. Please, New Balance, give us another lightweight trainer that lasts! I have to wear the 1080. While it's a fine, fine shoe, it has a wide footprint and is clunky.
