Most comfortable shoe I've ever had. Foam insert is awesome. Have purchased two pairs and will purchase again.
This is my second pair of NB 880v10's, and probably just the second pair. These shoes fit comfortably out of the box, and are ready for the trail as I unwrap the package. The insides and cushions are engineered for long distance; running or walking. I generally walk about five miles a day. This footwear holds up for me about 6 months then I switch to hightops for the fall and winter weather. I will continue to purchase the NB 880v10 as long as they are available.
I'm just a casual runner.. Once or maybe twice a week- couple miles. However, I stand for 8 hours a day sometimes, and these are the best shoes I've ever felt on my feet. I have big arches, wide feet, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, and a bad back (I'm only 32!) , and these are like walking on clouds. They provide the softest cushion, yet they are incredibly stable and firm. Every aspect of this shoe is great and my body thanks me. I wasn't excited about spending $130 on a shoe that looks like every other $50 pair of New Balances, but the are worth every penny. Get them and thank me later.
Super comfortable so far, but I agree with comments saying the shoe runs narrow. I ordered the 2E wide shoe, as my foot is a little wider than most and these are still pretty snug. The length sizing is perfect, so I’m hoping, once they break-in, the width will open a bit.The cushioning and impact reduction from these shoes is so much better than my previous shoes. This is where I needed the most help, because my knees tend to start hurting even after relatively short runs. I don’t have much time in the shoe yet, so long-term comfort and durability are unknown at this time, but I will update as I get more time in these. So far, they feel super stable, light, and supportive. Could use a little work in the breathability department, but not a show stopper. I’m not an avid runner, but I do put in about 10-12 miles a week and have a fairly neutral gait. These were the best all-around shoe I could find at this price point. I’m sure there are better shoes that probably cost substantially more, but for my needs, I can’t justify spending over $200 on a running shoe. These are a great value.
Fits great. At some point in the last 5 or so years, New Balance changed their sizes. I used to wear 14 wide, but now need 15 wide. These shoes are super comfortable. I am used to New Balance cross country hiking shoes which are a bit stiffer in the soles, but these feel like I'm walking on clouds. I just hope they hold up well since I've had my other new balance shoes for over 5 years and they are still in good shape, just a little less traction than before.
I have wide feet and these fit extremely comfortably and provide support in all terrain. I am really pleased with this brand and the shoe as I tend to be pretty picky and find most shoes uncomfortable. I put about 40+ miles per week on them varying from trail, gravel, and road - all without any issues with my shoes. A bit pricey but worth every penny for those medium to hard core runners.
I literally own five pairs of new balance 880. From the version 10 to the version 12. Great shoe for the price!
It's very beautiful and comfortable. One is our favorite shoes!
