Last long and comfortable
True size for b-c width foot
Comfortable shoes for sure. I bought 3 pair because it’s hard to find shoes that fit my stupid feet.I bought all 3 pair June 23 and I rotate each pair every time I play golf. It is now July 13 and one shoe is already separating. Just not cool. I thought montrail cared more about its quality but I guess not.I’ll glue these and make do but probably will go for Salomon next time for trail running shoes.
Excellent
These shoes are very comfortable
These shoes are one of the best "Road Hiking" (aka Power Walking, but Road Hiking sounds so much cooler) I've found. While I love my Salomon X Ultra 3 GTX's for low-land hiking, they can be a bit blocky, something the Columbia Men's Montrail F.k.t aren't. Note that I don't use these as a trail running shoe but rather a hiking/walking shoe. In fact, you'll notice the footwear of choice of most Appalachian Trail Thru-Hikers is a trail runner of this breed, something that played heavily into my decision to buy them.Unlike most road running shoes (I'm a HOKA fan), these don't have a significant heel/toe drop, which means they "roll" better for hiking/walking than running.Lastly, they are not black or some other monochromatic mess. OK, sure, black hides the dirt well and is a good guy shade, but gee. How about a bit of color or even a neutral like the Slate Grey/Bright Red I bought. So, if you're not a Mall walker and attack your road hikes as part of your exercise routine, these shoes are for you!PS: These are men's sizes and not women's.
This were made somewhere with bad quality control!
