When you lace up a pair of Mizuno Women's Wave Rider 24, you're investing in a running shoe that prioritizes both performance and comfort. The dual compound midsole combines U4ic and Energy Foam technologies, resulting in an exceptional level of shock absorption and a springy feel that propels you forward with each stride.
The Wave plate technology is particularly noteworthy; it effectively disperses the energy upon impact across a broader area, which not only contributes to a softer landing but also enhances stability on various surfaces. Whether you're hitting the pavement or tackling trails, this feature ensures that you remain supported throughout your run.
One of the standout aspects of these shoes is the breathable mesh upper. It works diligently to regulate temperature, keeping your feet cool even during strenuous workouts. You'll appreciate the lightweight construction, which helps minimize fatigue over longer distances.
While the Wave Rider 24 excels in many areas, it's worth noting that some users report needing to allow time for a proper break-in period. Additionally, those with wider feet may find the fit slightly snug, so considering the available width options when selecting your size is advisable. Overall, if you’re after a reliable and high-performing running shoe, the Mizuno Wave Rider 24 is well worth considering.

I purchased these shoes for running. I have extremely high arches (My footprint is totally disconnected between the forefoot and heel), damaged knees and hips, am prone to Achilles tendonitis and shin splints, and supinate slightly (heels roll outward). I'm a mess, basically, so I need a shoe with a level 4 or 5 cushion and very sturdy support. But without being constrictive, as I have a high foot profile due to my arches. I also wear insoles and athletic socks when I run. And these were purported to be narrow, so I decided to go up a half size.I chose these shoes based on online reviews.ARE THEY NARROW?I was worried about the reviews that claim these are narrow. I don't have wide feet, but I don't have narrow feet either. And when I run, the ball of my foot and my toes "splay" apart a bit, so I usually prefer room in the toe box to accommodate for that. But on first wear, I don't find them narrow at all, particularly in the toe box, where I felt there was ample room. That was surprising.PROFILE:I DO find the laces go up higher on the foot than i typically like since I have a high profile and laces often cause my feet to go numb. I just don't lace the last eyes.COMFORT:These have a high degree of cushion and a snappy, springy response. I need the cushion, but like to feel the response with the running surface, so that snappy response makes them very comfortable overall. However, I still find numbness in my toes (Which is super common for me if I'm using, say, an elliptical) is still an issue.STYLEIf it matters, they're a nice, understated running shoe with a few small details that make them quite attractive. I got them in grey because grey goes with everything and after my shoes retire from running, they usually end up becoming "Schlepping around town" shoes, so I want to make sure they're not going to spend their sunset years clashing with my wardrobe.
I bought these to walk around college campus on school days. Going to school at a big university means alot of walking between classes and buildings to get to where you need to be so it was crucial I wore comfortable shoes. These shoes fit perfectly and are durable and comfy. They do not make my feet ache at all by the end of the day which makes them a great walking shoe.
Love these shoes!! I have a pair for walking and a pair for running. Super comfy and light weight. They shipped quick and were in perfect condition when I received them. Highly recommend!!
I am on the search for a pair of shoes that has great cushioning (I get insane heel pain) and excellent arch support. I also have somewhat wide feet (depending on the shoe). My mission feels impossible. I ordered this shoe in a wide expecting that it would fit - most wide shoes do and some shoes I don't even need a wide. This shoe is so narrow, that even the wide width felt narrow and tight. The shoe felt cushy and the arch support nice, but It was just too tight. So, my search continues, but if you don't have a wide foot and are looking for cushion and arch support, this could be a great choice.
These running shoes are so comfortable! I forgot how good it feels to get a new pair of running shoes. There's lots of cushioning and support for my poor tired feet. I'm 56 years old and my feet are a mess from years of running and wearing high heels for work. Mizuno makes a very nice shoe for my narrow feet that has plenty of room in the toe box for my bunions. The shoe wraps around the front of my foot securely, keeping my foot in place, even going downhill, while gently supporting my arch, while also not feeling too tight. The heel is super cushioned as is the rest of the shoe for a nice smooth ride while running. I highly recommend these shoes!
After 3 discs replaced & fused in cervical then lumbar spine, I'm in physical therapy 3x per week for months. I disclose that so you know that loss of balance is hard to regain, especially for an "older" person forced out of commission for a few months pre and post op. I had already Nike and Adidas, and bought these to get some variety. I noticed right away that I improved immedicately in the balance exercises, such as the 3D MAPS. So while I am not yet running, I can say with confidence that these shoes gave me a confidence in being able to perform better in getting there!
The Mizuno Wave Runner is a good sturdy comfortable shoe. I wear orthotics with mine, but the shoe also offers support. I don't run anymore but they last a good 400 miles for walking.
I’m a long time Mizuno fan. These are my 7th pair. The first five pairs wore incredibly well. For those, I retired them as the soles wore down, typically wearing for more than a year with many miles behind me. The last two pairs have both worn out at the back of the ankle long before the soles did. I have had these shoes for approximately 10 months and wear them to the gym a couple days a week, alternating with another pair. They are not getting heavy use. I don’t expect running shoes to last years and years, but I do expect a pair that is really only getting light use to at least last a year. I thought the first pair wearing down like that was a fluke but sadly, I’m now thinking this is a Mizuno quality issue. For the amount I pay for these shoes, I’m disappointed in their lack of longevity. I’m reluctant to buy another pair for fear they will wear out just as quickly again.
