Comfort: The Mizuno Wave Creation 20 excels in comfort thanks to its advanced cushioning technologies. The Infinity Wave design allows for maximum impact absorption, making long-distance runs less strenuous on your joints. The U4icX midsole further enhances this comfort, providing a soft landing and smooth transition between strides.
Fit: With its dynamic sock-like fit, especially noticeable in the anniversary model, these shoes are designed to hug your feet without constricting. However, some might find the initial fit a bit tight, which eases over time as the materials break in.
Performance: When it comes to performance, the Wave Creation 20 truly shines. The responsive nature of the shoe makes it ideal for quick long runs, allowing you to maintain speed without sacrificing comfort. The X10 outsole ensures that you will not compromise on durability as well; it performs admirably across various surfaces.

Great shoe. I have plantar fascia and these are very supportive. Look great on.
First off, these are the first sneakers I have never had to add an orthotic to. They are so supportive and contoured well if you have high arches like me. Also, they are so beautiful. This purplish colored shoe is even more gorgeous in person. Beautiful. I did have to return my first pair bc I bought my usual 9 and I needed about a half size more room. Got the 9.5 and it’s perfection. Also, these shoes have lots of ability to wear the laces loose if you need room or you like to just slide the shoe on like I do. And there is plenty of room in the toe box. That’s important to me. I can’t wear most sneakers bc of that. These shoes do not bind my foot in any way. I normally always wear ASICS which I still love but I’m happy to also have a backup shoe.
I've had many tennis shoes that I've tried because of high arches, wide feet and being overweight. These shoes are extremely comfortable. They are sturdy and light. They are breathable. I wore them in Italy on cobblestone streets for several hours and many days. My legs and feet NEVER bothered me. They were wonderful to wear and very easy to break in. We loved them so muvch, we bought another pair. True to size and they fit as expected.
Reviews stated that these shoes "magically" healed people's plantar's fasciitis which is why I purchased them. That was not my experience. I do find them comfortable but not an earth shattering difference that would substantiate the cost of these over my other shoes ($40 more). I am hoping they last longer as i work 12 hr shifts in healthcare and go thru shoes often.
Excellent to workout
I love the color and they looked even better in person. I bought these for my daughter but they were a size too small so I had to return them. She stated they had great support and were comfortable even though they were too small.
So 3 years ago I bought my first part of Mizuno’s I was dealing with plantars for the first time then and the moment I put my foot inside I knew THIS was the shoe for me. About 2 weeks ago (3years of wear) I knew they had finally crossed over the rainbow bridge and it was time to get a new pair. I had bought my first pair in a store after trying them on so I was more than a little hesitant to buy them online. I ordered a 9.5 but a day later realized what I had was a 10 so I preferred a 2nd pair of that size. Both arrived the same day.You need a little background here, several days earlier I was in bitterly cold Milwaukee walking a cemetery for hours trying to find some family graves, by the end of of my 4 day trip I could hardly walk, pla Tara was back with a vengeance!!!! By the time I got home and ordered these shoes I was in so much pain I could hardly walk. Both pairs arrived at the same time so I put a 10 on one foot and a 9.5 on the other foot and worked around the house. The moment I slid my foot into the 9.5 I melted. It was like that feeling you get when you have someone scratch your back, pure nirvana!!! The next day I switched which size on which foot and quickly settled into the 9.5 was what I needed. I wore them to work that day and the next day MIRACULOUSLY my foot was back to normal… ZERO pain!!! I want to add I am a plus size woman, as tgat might matter to some.I’m not sure why a 10 was a perfect fit before and the 9.5 works now but recommend you try multiple sizes if you can, I think Amazon now has a “try it” program.Anyway that’s my story, I’ve never paid this much for a pair of shoes but these are worth EVEEY penny and MORE!!!! Thanks for tolerating this long review!
I bought a pair of these shoes before this pair. I absolutely loved them! They were great! But, we rescued a 10 month old, roughly, we have no idea really, german shepherd and he ate the back off those. LOL So, I ordered another pair, thinking I was getting the same quality. This pair is the worst. The right sole is too high, not positioned correctly....something...I have no idea. I have tried moving the sole around, taking them out and putting in other soles....everything I can think of. I even thought, maybe I hurt something in my foot, so I stopped wearing them for a long time....wore them just the other day and they caused my foot to hurt....they are terrible! Just the worse pair of shoes I have ever owned. I should have sent them back while I could, but I just loved the first pair so much, I thought I could fix them, or it was just me.
