I tried out a bunch of shoes for running moderate distances of 3-5 miles. I ended up settling on the Kayano 30. The Saucony Guide 16 and Mizuno Wave Inspire 19 were both in a very close second. I tried all of the shoes in a 11.5 wide.Gel Kayano 30: Best overall for a person with a wide and flat foot, who wants support and maximum cushion for long runs. When I was having pains on my feet, a marathoner friend pointed out that my feet needed more side support. He recommended these Mizuno shoes for my daily commute. I can’t thank him enough because these are wonderful shoes, and the pain gradually faded away after 2-3 weeks. He can’t make me run, but I can walk miles with these very comfortable and stable shoes.

This tennis shoes have great support!. I have narrow fit and this is great for me. I do not run but i do walk a lot and they feel comfortable and arched support. Happy about this purchase.
This is my 3rd or 4th pair of wave inspires over the years. These have fit very similar to all my previous pairs the only real difference that I see is more looks. So far I have about 150-200 miles on them and they have held up very well . Looking forward to see how many miles I can get out of them.

I've been using Mizuno for probably 20yrs now, love them! Never get shin splints like I would get with other brands and they are super comfortable. They fit perfect. I got the wide size. I bought 2 pairs, one for going out and another for everything else.
I'm back in the Mizuno family after about a year wearing Saucony Endorphin - and the differene is notable. Mizuno has great support buy very little energy return (ie bounce). It's always going to be the tradeoff - bounce creates motion which is the anithesis of support.I've decided support (with light weight) is preferable to cushiony clouds.Mizuno is the porsche 911 of support shoes.
