This shoe feels really good underfoot. I had 0 traction issues except Spartans US model Olympus, I’m not sure what they put on that wall but nothing sticks. The toe box has a good amount of room , more than the mudclaw, also more cushioning for longer races. The newer rubber seems to do better on slippery rocks as well. Deep lugs help in the mud/sand.Now my gripes,There’s no rock plate so you will feel some of the pointier rocks(still better than mudclaws)The shoe laces, I need more length, & the material is a bit too slippery, only thing worse than having to tie a shoe mud race is tripping on an untied lace(haven’t done it, but I’m sure it’s not good).I’ve run spartan sprints up to an ultra in these, & they’re becoming my favorite.
Gigantic shoes! I ordered a 8.5 but they fit like a 9.5! Good looking but huge!Annemarie Conrod
Simply completely bored with asics lack of design I’m trying to find a better running shoe, cross trainer, as I work in dog parks and restaurant bar environment and I need a good durable shoe. Second pair and , again it’s too small in the toes, 9 1/2 looks like it means 9 but I can’t find this shoe in a 10, I might try one more time but if it’s not a good fit, I’m out. Cmon man…. Good heel and arch and traction and design… Get your sizing right…
