The Inov-8 Men’s Roclite G 315 GTX V2 excels in various areas that are critical for any hiking enthusiast. Its lightweight design truly sets it apart, making it one of the best choices for those who prefer to hike quickly without feeling weighed down. The graphene-enhanced rubber provides an unparalleled grip, securing your footing on both wet and dry surfaces, which is vital when navigating rocky or muddy trails.
In terms of waterproofing, the Gore-Tex technology ensures that you can brave the elements without worrying about wet socks, enhancing your overall hiking experience. The deep lugs act like miniature cleats, digging into the terrain and preventing slips on steep inclines or declines.
The Powerflow midsole is another standout feature, offering impressive cushioning that absorbs impact and returns energy efficiently. This means you can tackle longer distances with reduced fatigue, a crucial factor for adventurous treks.
However, it’s important to consider fit; while many users appreciate the snug feel, those with wider feet might find the design slightly constrictive. Additionally, the price is on the higher side, reflecting the advanced technologies used in these shoes.
Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable and high-performing hiking shoe, the Inov-8 Men’s Roclite G 315 GTX V2 promises to deliver on both comfort and performance.

These Roclite 315 GTX V2s are great shoes. Inov8s tend to be sized small, so I knew to order a half size large - 11 US rather than my usual 10-101/2. They are a Inov8 fit scale 3 (1=narrow, 5=wide) which fit me well. I've tried Salomons and Asics but couldn't get a good toe box fit for agility type sprinting on rough and wet surfaces. I've used these on several outings now with good results. Maybe I just got lucky but I'm going to buy a second pair as soon as I finish this review.
