Love these and very comfortable!! The traction you get with these is fantastic and why I purchased. The look and feel are just icing on the cake.
Love these sneakers they are perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! I run on side walks and the road during the winter and wanted something with insulation, waterproof and spikes! These sneakers have all three! They are also the most comfortable sneakers I’ve warn and didn’t even need to break them in! I love not needing to tie my shoes! That was an added bonus! I walk/jog in 24 degrees so far with a med. weight sock and my feet have not gotten cold yet!
Lightweight and effective. I can now jog during cold, icy mornings.
They grip beautifully on ice! They are so comfortable! The lace up system is very cool - easy to use and tightens evenly all along top of shoe. They were sent quickly.
Fit is on small side. I usually wear a US 9, so I ordered 9.5 to make sure I could wear the shoes with socks. I had to remove the insole to get enough room for my feet. Perhaps I can find a thin boiled wool insole to use. Broke my kneecap in February last year by slipping on a little frozen puddle hidden by fallen leaves. Determined to prevent falling again. Ugh!
I really wanted to love these. I have had two other pairs of IceBugs in the past and they have been amazing. I have lost weight and my shoe size actually went down and so I decided to get another pair that fits better. Unfortunately, the lacing system, while pretty neat, just does not work for me. These fit pretty well, however, they slip in the heel a bit. This is not unusual for me in a running shoe, but for most shoes, I am able to fix that issue through specific lacing methods. With the lacing/crank/dial method these shoes have, that was impossible as it does not allow for alternative lacing. I had to return them. Really sad about that too.
I live in Alaska. These were highly recommended to me by several friends. The Icebug Women’s NewRun are light weight, surprisingly warm and very stable on ice and crusty snow. I literally have used them every day this winter.
These shoes were recommended but said they wereTrue to size. They are tight in the toe area.
