I'm a carrier and have had issues with my feet. It started about 5 years ago coincidentally when I started this line of work and also when I turned 40. Perhaps I could have avoided this if I had the right shoes from the start. I began with Sketchers work shoes (terrible) that were around $40-60. I walked as a new carrier around 10-15 miles a day. Then I eventually bought better ones here. That was a New Balance work shoes with steel toe. Those ranged from $80-$100. They were good for about 2 years when I walked around 5 miles a day mostly on sidewalks. I had to move so I had to get a terrible route and why I walk so much today. I started using the Hoka shoes that are twice the cost of the New Balance and they don't have steel toes so I have to watch out for metal wheeled carts at the station. These did feel pretty good. I've had them for over a month now and there are a few things I've noticed. A few of the seems in the front and side are slightly becoming unglued or loosening. This is only for esthetics and because they have a certain pattern on the sole of the shoe for great traction it does collect more dirt and "dirt." I would love to get another pair soon and maybe leave those for my longest route (I'm a utility T-6 currently).I do plan on not walking anymore on the grass. I think all the uneven terrain and lumps and potholes I'm stepping on is also aggravating my feet and hips. I feel the burning pain of the planters fasciitis when I step on a bump or hole and my foot twists and adjusts too harshly.Another tip instead of walking on the grass is to make sure your laces are as tight as you can have them. I think when your foot is a little too loose you can get calluses which I got when I started and never again. My feet are very soft for some reason now (perhaps age?). I'm also working on my hips at the gym with those leg abductor and adductor routines. This has helped the pain I started getting on my hips due to several falls in the icy winter.
These were rated as #1 shoe for people with Planta Fascia issues. I tore mine and regular sneakers would hurt to use.. Crocs were the only thing that felt ok, but Crocs are not great for every occasion ;) I bought these...normally a size 9 US, but bought 1 10...and they fit but my toes were right up to the end...so I returned for a 10.5 and much better. so, these run small..make sure to order a size about 1.5 larger than your normal size IMO. These feel great and are the only sneakers I can wear right now. They also seem to add a little height if you are s a short guy, so thats a plus. ;) Overall, like them a lot.
So these are extremely comfortable shoes. I dont thnk I will need to change out the footpads which is something I do with all my shoes. I do have one small knock on Hoka, when you pay almost $200.00 for a pair of shoes some quality laces would be nice. Other than that I think tese are awesome shoes for walking and standing, I sure hope they last.
Shoe is comfortable and did not need to be "broken in". I do not run. I am an old guy who wants a great foundation to stand and walk on.
I bought these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them but there is one drawback, you're spending so much money for these shoes yet the company uses the cheapest, crappiest laces for them
Nice shoe but only comes in medium (D) width. No room for an orthotic. Had to return and hope the original Bondi leather reappears.

Amazon charged me $288.00 dollars for the same shoe I discovered I can purchase anywhere but Amazon for $175.00 dollars. I called customer service and they refused to adjust the pricing. Amazon stated that the manufacturer sets the price, THAT WAS A BOLD FACE LIE! I told them that the manufacturer website sells them for $175.00 and then the just stated oh well we will not adjust our pricing. What a bunch of crooks. This will affect any future business I do with Amazon. Beware of Amazon pricing, price check before buying anything. The Hoka Bondi shoe is a great shoe, and I would recommend it to anyone, the sizing was correct, and the fit was amazing, but do not buy it from Amazon unless you like getting ripped off.
