The ECCO Men's Biom 2.1 Low Textile Trail Running Shoe stands out in terms of its innovative design and technology. Its BIOM Technology allows your foot to maintain a natural movement pattern, which is critical during trail runs where uneven terrain can challenge traditional footwear. The shoe's anatomical fit molds to your foot, enhancing comfort and reducing the risk of blisters during longer outings.
The three-layer upper combines breathable mesh with durable leather, creating a comfortable environment for your feet, even over extended distances. Additionally, the unique ribbon lacing structure ensures a secure fit without being overly restrictive.
Performance-wise, the PHORENE midsole is a highlight; it not only provides cushioning but also an energetic rebound, making your stride feel more efficient. The ECCO PERFORMANCE RUBBER+ outsole is engineered with innovative cleats that adapt to various surfaces, giving you confidence on both wet and dry trails.
However, be prepared for an initial break-in period as the materials adjust to your foot shape. While the price point may be higher than some competitors, the advanced features and overall quality justify the investment for serious runners.

Not much needed for this review. Great look, fit your foot very well. And the absolute most comfortable shoe you will ever put on. Ecco never disappoints. As you can see I bought two colors.
I have several pairs of Hoka bad back these are the most incredible shoes have not had them in twenty years and they were dress shoe and so comfortable. I definitely back back to the brand I think they are my favorite shoes I have ever had
If you want comfortable shoes that will hold together for 3-4 months of use, these will work. After that, the fabric starts tearing in multiple places and they just start to kind of fall apart.
I love these shoes. I wear them 14 hrs a day at my job where I’m on my feet all day and my feet feel so much better than before. They have just enough cushion but still feel firm. Just enough support inside without pushing on my feet. I bought 4 pairs just so I have them on hand for years to come.
I bought these 11 months ago. I rarely wore them but noticed the fabric splitting on the top- there are tons of review photos that show the problem. I contacted Ecco and returned them. They sent the shoes back with a letter saying they would not honor the return. The letter listed various reasons why they will not honor a return and none of those applied to these shoes. I’m 66, don’t run for exercise and have several sneakers and I don’t wear sneakers often. These look new. Very disappointed I wasted my time buying and dealing with ECCO. It’s clear they have a problem with the fabric per the reviews but continue to market the item.
They fit perfect and look as in picture. Very comfortable, but little big for Size 12. I must order 11.5. Quality is great and no pain in my feet. I have a wide feet. I also feel that this shoe is more for casual use and walk, not punishment.
Looks great and comfortable
I purchased these shoes on Aug 30, 2022 which means I've had them less than 4 months at the time of writing this review. I wear them about three times a week and most of that is in doors. Just as others have already mentioned, I have a line going across the top of the right shoe where the material is ripping apart and a hole at the end of it that continues to get larger.I love ECCO shoes but every other pair I own is constructed of leather. I wouldn't buy these again even at half price...very disappointing.
