The melding of Neoflex and leather provides both flexibility and durability, ensuring that these shoes can withstand the rigors of regular use without compromising on comfort.
The innovative split sole design allows dancers to make quick, sharp movements without feeling hindered. Whether you're executing turns or transitions, the suede patch under the ball of the foot facilitates smooth gliding, which is essential for fluid choreography.
Comfort is paramount in any dance shoe, and the cushioning provided in the Pedini Femme greatly enhances the overall experience. The incorporated DRYZ lining helps manage moisture, keeping your feet dry even during intense rehearsals or performances.
However, like any product, it has its shortcomings. The limited color options might deter some buyers looking for a specific aesthetic. Additionally, new wearers may find that the shoes require a brief breaking-in period to achieve the perfect fit. I needed some dark shoes for a show choir reunion performance and wanted character shoes. Sadly, I dropped a trough on my foot several years ago and can’t wear those anymore so these were recommended to me for their stretch by two dance teachers. They felt wonderful on my foot but a bit strange at first. I wore them around the house in spurts to get used to them and break them in. They will stretch to fit your foot over time so don’t be alarmed if they are tight. They should fit like a glove. I loved them, they looked great on stage, and they were perfect for what I needed!
Great fit!
This shoe fits true to size to match my street shoe size. It is comfortable and dependable. It is very flattering and easy to get on/off. It is sewn well and quality materials were used. I see this shoe lasting a long while. The placement of the heel under the foot takes a wearing or two to get used to but I don't even think about it anymore. I read reviews that the heel slips off and I would say that this shoe is like any other - if your technique is sloppy your shoe will suffer for it. If your foot placement is where you need it to be, and you are not using your shoe as a crutch to accommodate bad placement, this shoe will serve you well. I can see that the heel would slip out of place if you landed a jump or turn improperly. That's not the shoe's fault though. A character heel would do the same thing. This is a quality Capezio product that I would buy again.
I can tell that this product is of very high quality and is well constructed. Capezio is known for their nice quality and that certainly came through. I normally wear a size 7.5/8 in shoes depending on the type, so I ordered a size 7.5. It was a little snug but will probably be more comfortable once they are broken in. I would recommend this product to other dancers!
I was just hoping this shoe would be a great replacement for my Pedini 321 which I couldn't get anywhere in my size and it is!! I ordered a US 9. I'm a UK 6 and usually buy 8.5 in US. The front of my foot is wide and my ankle is very small (weird feet alert!). I was worried the front would be tight and although the length I could probably have gone down 1/2 a size I think I might have needed the 9 for the front width. When they arrived they looked microscopic but it's all in the stretch material. When I put them on my feet they stretched to fit and felt beautiful. I don't think they'll stretch out to the point where they'll be too big for me. They felt beautiful to teach in and felt like good support as new Capezio shoes always do! I think they are going to be better than the Pedini 321 - we'll just see how long they last on a dance teacher's foot!
bought these for my cousin who is a dancer, they are just what she needed
I am only writing a review based on my initial information of these shoes. Like an idiot, I read the reviews and made my decision of sizing based on several reviewers who said to size up. Um, not so in my case. As with most dancing shoes, it is tricky to find the right size. I do tend to read reviews of other dancers and figure out what I need to do for the best shoe fit. I have had to return these shoes and am now sizing down one full size. I ordered an 8, which is a half size bigger than my normal street shoe, and these were absolutely way too big. These shoes, because they lack a normal arch, and have stretch in the arch as well so that you can maintain pretty, pointed toes, have a lot of give to them anyway. Sizing up in these shoes made me feel as if they were going to fall off in an instant while glissanding and doing pirouettes across the floor. Dancers can not have this and this could be a potential to hurt oneself if they are bracing themselves because their shoe is about to fall off! For those looking into this shoe, you might want to just stick with your normal street size. I like my shoes a bit on the snug side, since I do tend to use them quite often and also sweat in them so they tend to relax and stretch. I am getting a size smaller than my normal shoe size, because I do like them snug. Will update when I get the right size!
I wear these for West Coast Swing and I love them! They are snug but not tight. The Neoprene is soft and breathable. The heel took a bit of getting used to because the bridge of the sole between the heel and the ball is elastic so it stretches with your foot. This means that the heel sometimes moves if you are stepping with your heel first, instead of stepping with your ball. No buckles or straps which make these easy to get in and out of when dancing different dances.
