Detailed Review

When reviewing the Capezio Women's Contempora Pointe Shoe, several factors come into play:

Comfort: Dancers often prioritize comfort, and this model delivers with its medium support and innovative materials. However, ensure you order the correct size given the fact that these shoes run larger than typical street sizes.

Performance: The feathered box design allows for greater control and stability, critical for executing challenging dance moves. The #2 shank strikes a good balance between support and flexibility, making it ideal for intermediate to advanced dancers.

Aesthetics: The U-throat design adds a sophisticated touch that many dancers appreciate. It helps elongate the foot visually, contributing to the overall gracefulness of performances.

Durability: Made from 100% satin with a leather sole, this shoe promises durability while remaining lightweight, an essential factor during lengthy rehearsals and performances.

In conclusion, the Capezio Women's Contempora Pointe Shoe is a reliable choice for dancers seeking a combination of style, support, and performance. With the right fitting, these shoes can elevate your dancing experience significantly.

Pointe shoe is exactly as described.

Every dancer breaks her/his own shoes to their own preferences, making it difficult to tell someone else what to expect. Capezio is a decent brand and this is a decent practice shoe. You need your own toe pads and silks. Again, as dancers have their own preferences you need to choose your own anyway.

Contempora 8.5 C

I haven't worn Contemporas for years, but I thought I'd try a pair when I saw the price. Unfortunately, they run a little narrower than I remember and I had to send the C width shoes back. Some sizing feedback for those who don't live a dancewear store stocking this shoe in your size: the shoe length was true to sizing guidelines (subtract 2.5 from your street shoe size) - I wear a women's 11 and size 8.5 pointes were the correct length. If you wear a medium width but larger shoe size, I would recommend trying the D width instead of the C width.

Capezio Pointé Shoe

I usually wear US 9, I bought 8.5 and runs larger than I thought. Quality is good, it's comfortable but now I can't use because it's too big. check your capezio size before buying it.

Fit me well, died quickly

I like these shoes a lot-- I ordered them on a whim (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEING PROFESSIONALLY FITTED) after my first two fittings went poorly. I did a lot of research on foot types, and these fit my feet very well. The main issue I have with them, is that Capezio doesn't offer different shank strengths. This shoe comes standard with a #2 shank, which is too weak for me. I have very strong feet and high arches, and the first time I practiced in these I could already tell that the shoes would die after only a practice or two.I had to jet glue the heck out of them immediately, or they would have lasted 2 classes. After I jet glued them, they lasted me about 2 months before I had to break down and buy another pair. I ended up with a different brand/model this time.My other main concern is that the box died quickly. It felt like my big toes were digging a hole in the box, which was uncomfortable. After 5-6 classes, I no longer trusted my left shoe.

these were very easy to break in and size fits perfectly

these were very easy to break in and size fits perfectly! I have "disappearing" ankles, so there is a bit too much material on the heel, but not enough to be uncomfortable. very happy to have a good practice shoe!

It seems nice for my tapered toes

It seems nice for my tapered toes, but size 9 was too small. I am size 10 or bigger for street shoes. Hope they have bigger size.
