I found these true to size, comfortable, and they breathe well. I live in snake and scorpion country and wanted something rugged for the backyard and walking down the street at night. These are perfect and have kept my feet dry through several rain events.
These boots are so comfortable the first time you put them on. Great quality and I think they look better in person than as pictured!
Fit my wide toes comfortably. I have a 10 1/4" instep and a 9 1/2" girth at toes, a length of 10", and large heel spurs that cause severe Plantars Fascitis. These shoes look narrow but they fit my high instep and wide toes well. They didn't do my Plantar's Fascitis any favors, but they didn't make the pain any worse either. These insoles in these shoes don't have much padding. They're pretty hard. The upper is padded around the ankles and didn't rub at all. The outer is flexible. These outer sole of these shoes is great. I hiked in them in an area with a trail made of a lot of sharp, hard chunks of rocks. They were loose and would have been hard to walk on in tennis shoes. These boots handled them great. I felt in good contact with ground and really stable. My feet didn't want to roll over the rocks and the points didn't push through either. These boots were comfortable for my big feet and performed well in the rocks.
I was so disappointed in these expensive hiking boots. I wear a 9 1/2 and that's what I ordered. No way. My big toes rubbed on the top. I have ingrown toenails and these hiking boots made them worse. They are not true to size. Can't wear them. Useless. I would not buy again.
I really needed a better hiking shoe that went above my ankles. These would be absolutely perfect with how rugged they are, however they do run 1/2 too small.
Great shoes. Look really nice and definitely stand up to the test. Worn them on an a few excursions in the rugged mountains and desert. They grip well and are waterproof. I’m between 7.5/ 8 and I wish I would have gotten the 8. They are snug but fit. If I wanted to wear thicker hiking socks I probably wouldn’t be able to, so I would recommend sizing half size up if you are between sizes. Other than that, these are great. Not too high on the ankle but high enough to provide great support.
Order a size up if you want them comfortable. Were tight on me, but my daughter is a size smaller than me so these will be perfect for her! Has a nice design with rugged durable construction.
