Love these!! I've worn ASICS for probably 10-15 years and have a narrow heel but wide forefoot. That said, I have always been a true 9M (B) in most ASICS sneakers, at least until this last year. Many of their shoes seem to run too narrow in the toebox lately - except this one!! This shoe has plenty of room in the toebox, no squeezing or rubbing. but also not loose. This model also has great arch support and lots of cushion. I highly recommend it!
I have severe overpronation and needed a stabilizing shoe that would support my feet when I walk on the treadmill and outside. I researched the best shoes for overpronation and this shoe was one of the top contenders. I am so happy I bought them. They have excellent support, are comfortable, and don't hurt my feet or legs when I walk. Plus, they look nice. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a stabilizing shoe for overpronation.
All good thoughts. Ascics have the best heel support . I have a heel spur and it takes the pain away immediately. Wide width is great for my need for toe space because of my diabetes.
I so wish Asics would stop changing their shoes! I was so happy with my GT-1000 6. The 7s have no arch support. This happened with the Exalt, another model I used to wear. I need stability with good arch support. I do not want to pay close to $100 for shoes that need custom inserts. I tried these and I am happy enough to keep them. They are not perfect, though. I have been 8.5 in Asics for awhile. The 8.5 is a little big, but the 8s were definitely too small. I have to use the extra hole for the laces (at the top) to keep my heel from slipping. But, they have good support and are comfortable. I would rather have a little extra room in the toe than not enough. I kept them.
I bought these shoes because I like to go running, and I have a flat arch and tend to overpronate. These shoes have been really good for me! I have had them almost 5 months and I still enjoy wearing them. I am a nurse, and sometimes I will also wear them to work. I have found that my feet feel less worn out, after 12 hours, in these shoes.I don't usually like to get dark colored running shoes, but, the more I wear these, the more I like the color. So far, I have not had any defects with the shoes. They're holding up great! As far as size, I usually wear a 9 1/2 or a 10. I have learned with Asics shoes to buy size 10 and it works really well for me. So, I would agree when most people say buy 1/2 size up. I also have wider feet, so I purchased a wider size and the width has been good.Definitely recommend this shoe!
I have last year's Foundation, and have been very happy with them. The navy color of the newer model appealed to me, and I presumed they would be a similar fit. Not only does the toe area feel narrower, it feels shallow like toes are compressed. The heel feels narrower, which I like, but I am very disappointed in the narrower toe area. I am returning them.
I have had heel pain from my Achilles’ tendon for 2 years. To go for a walk would make my heal hurt and swell. I have been through physical therapy and bought shoes especially made for this and nothing helped. These shoes give the right support and I am up to 1 mile walks daily without problems. These are the best runners I’ve had.
These are the only running/walking sneakers I buy because they are the only ones that support my extreme over-pronation. I was excited to pick up this color for winter. I think I have purchased the grey/pink/lime green ones 10 times already. Don't fix what's not broken! Keep making these sneakers exactly as is because they are amazing!
