The ASICS Men's Trail Scout 2 Running Shoes excel in multiple areas that matter most to outdoor enthusiasts. When it comes to comfort, the Injection EVA midsole effectively absorbs shock, providing a plush landing with every step you take. This cushioning is particularly beneficial during long runs on uneven terrain.
In terms of stability, the internal heel counter plays a vital role. It ensures your foot stays securely in place, which not only boosts confidence on technical descents but also reduces the risk of injuries. Additionally, the seamless inserts offer extra support across the midfoot, enhancing overall stability.
When faced with varying conditions, the redesigned outsole pattern shines, delivering reliable grip regardless of whether you're navigating muddy trails or rocky paths. The shoe’s lightweight design also contributes to an agile feel, allowing you to cover ground quickly without feeling weighed down.
However, there are aspects to consider before purchasing. Some users have reported that the shoe takes a bit of time to break in, especially if you’re coming from a different brand. Furthermore, individuals with wider feet might find the fit slightly snug.

Asics seem to fit my feet better than other brands. I wear shoes out in about 4-6 month and these wear well and are comfortable on my feet.
Im usually a new balance brand guy but saw these for super cheap and bought them. Light, comfortable, cool looking, and serve the purpose needed. I wanted sone New Balances and these were $20 less. So far so good. I don’t have super duper wide feet but wide enough to have issues with comfort in most of the big name brands out there where you would pay upwards of $75-$120 for these kicks. I liked them so much I bought another pair on eBay and can honestly say that I’m an ASICS guy now. Great quality and better price! Size 10 feet fit perfectly in a size 10 of the 2 pairs I now own. So if you’re a size 7, get a size 7. You won’t be disappointed. Try the ASICS official site too for maybe a lower price or also eBay too!
Have had for a few weeks and mine feel better with every wear. Felt stiff and tight out of the box but have become much more comforting after a break in period. I've worn ASICS running shoes for a few years and have become familiar with their fit and performance, these are a level above any of the others I've had in the past and won't hesitate to buy again.Downside of these shoes is the provided laces are just not long enough to properly lace up. I've never had to wear wides with any other ASICS shoe in my size and didn't think twice when ordering these. However to lace mine up I'm barely left with anything to loop off. Even out of the box it didn't seem like there was enough to loop in the heel locks if someone wanted to. Despite this, having relaced mine as much as possible I'm getting a great fit and still don't feel wides would have been any benefit.
These Asics are their bottom of the line running shoes, so I'd call them more like walking shoes. Asics of course makes good shoes, but these are their bargain versions. I don't think they are flexible enough or have the needed features for real distance running, but they are actually quite good for bombing around in. I use them in place of golf shoes for walking the course, and they work fine. The material is pretty durable and somewhat water resistant. They look fine too. Good for everyday use.
I am a trail runner who participates in trail races. I am very pleased with these shoes. The are a great fit and provide great traction on the trail.
Comfort, price and durability all in one. One of the most comfortable brands on the market and you get good value.
I am a fan of Asics shoes and have been for years. These are as high quality as any I've worn. I normally wear their more cushioned running shoes, but wanted black and yellow to match team colors for my daughter's softball team. These work great on grass, dirt, and artificial turf, but they aren't cushioned for my fat a$$. I do look good in them, son there's that.
I have a similar style that fits perfectly, but this style seems to run a bit small in the toe area. They are comfortable, and provide lots of cushion to the heel.
