This was designed as a nice general athletic shoe. The negative reviews on this shoe appear to be serious long-distance runners needing features specific for them. The support is noticeably comfortable. Solid build and is going to last me a long time. There is no plastic strap that might cause issues mentioned in other reviews. I use these for gym workouts, periodic runs, biking, and walks. Not a long-distance runner. You'll be proud to slip these on to wear in public too.
Give these shoes some time, be patient and use them in the beginning only for slow runs. I made a mistake when I did my first run at official half marathon. When I finished I hated these shoes. But my opinion has changed after 1 month. At the beginning they were very tight. But now after 100 km I have to say that these shoes are among my favorite. They fit perfect, every run as a flight.
I'd say the fit is true. I wear a US 13 in most running shoe brands--one size up from street shoe size. First run was uncomfortable. I lace my running shoes very tight. In this shoe, this tight lacing caused pain in the top of foot, just under where the laces are finally tied. I walked around in them a bit and gave them a second try. I still pulled the laces tightly from toe to forefoot but used less pressure when tying off. All went well. The shoes provide a good balance of cushion and spring. The shoe is versatile. Light enough for speed runs but also cushioned for longer runs. Low profile, well-made and stylish enough to make me smile. Even at the normal, full price of $99, these are worth having in any runner’s shoe rotation. Also a great option for those only needing one pair of runners.
I have been trying to get back into road running and have been looking for a good support sneaker at a reasonable price, look no further Amazon Friends- this is that shoe! I have them in Powder Pink and now in gray. I absolutely recommend this sneaker to anyone who wants to literally put a pep in-their-step! The heal has great support it feels like a cushion! Great purchase-love these sneakers!
Haven't had Asics running shoes in several years, but after using these for just three jogs, I remember why I used to only use Asics. Great shoe. Very comfortable. Only con I have is the way it rubs the achilles tendon is a little irritaing. Hope that goes away with time after the shoe gets broken in.
I almost always buy Asics shoes and I usually like them. These were priced well and I figured I would give them a shot. As soon as I put on the right shoe, it had a spot that was pushing a little on the back of my heal. I figured it might break it okay and it has not caused any blisters or anything.... but it is still annoying. It seems my one shoe has a bit of a defect which is just an annoyance more than anything. Otherwise, they are good and maybe my issue is just a fluke.
I honestly recommend this shoes for the quality, comfort and they look high end.
I’m pretty particular about my sneakers. I have a 16 level back fusion and I am always looking for good shoes for it. These are super comfortable and excellent shoes for the money. I can’t recommend them enough. I have twelve other pairs of sneakers and this pair so far are my favorite.
