The first time I laced up the shoes their extremely comfortable like your walking on air. I had to exchange a 12 for an 11 1/2. The heel is different snug but not to where it hurts. The look of the shoes is top notch pretty fancy. I feel that these shoes can be used for work. Or if you need to flat out run you’re good hands. For the price you can’t beat it!
Actually, these are not women's. This is like my 5th pair of the gel flux. I have had versions 2-5. I hope they don't stop making because they fit good. The secret is the independent plastic truss between toe and heel sole sections. This minimizes twisting and allows the heel to anchor the shoe and minimizes supination (rolling to outside). This results in more even wear and less stress on both the shoe upper and sole. This means they last much longer. My other secret is shoe trees. These cedar forms are placed inside the shoes immediately after wearing drying them and retarding bacteria which would otherwise weaken the uppers.
Liked the overall appearance of this shoe. Comfortable for most part. Toebox a bit tight but should give as it is worn.
I've been running with this shoe for about 2months now. I have been using them during wet or muddy weather to run around 5k every day. I'd say the biggest negative is these puppies take forever to break in around the collar of the shoe. There seems to be extra firm padding in the collar area and it was hard enough to give me a bruise from wearing it 5 days straight. I took a break from them for a couple of days to give the area right below my ankle a break. I still think that area needs some work, but I either broke them in enough or my foot has become accustomed to the shoe.These shoes might be intended for someone who is looking for extra padding. They feel a little heavier than my Brooks Launch. But they are very comfortable and the extra weight hasn't slowed me down. It's weird, but for some reason my pace is 20-25 seconds faster when wearing these as opposed to my Brooks.I hate to say how the sizes run, because I don't think the size of a shoe matters as much as the size of your feet changing. But I ordered what i thought was a half size too small and I've got enough room to go at least a half size even smaller and still have these fit properly.I would definitely buy these again and plan on doing so soon. If you're just getting into running, I would highly recommend a shoe like this. There's no need to drop $100+ on a shoe that won't do anymore for you than this shoe would.
By far the most comfortable sneaker i've ever purchased. There could be a tad more arch support but for my purposes (ie. not running, hiking etc.) it does an excellent job. Great padding all around and easy to clean. Great shoe all around.
Great running shoes at a real reasonable price. Had planters fasciitis and these shoes helped me get over it. Best shoes out there for me. My podiatrist recommended this brand to me. Great deal for sure.
This is my fourth pair of Asics. I purchased two of the same model, and two other models. I buy the same size and width each time, and they fit me just right. My podiatrist told my wife and I that Asics are the only shoes he wants us to wear for walking. I walk about 3.5 miles, Monday - Friday. The Asics usually last about 18 months. They are comfortable and I will continue to purchase Asics when I need new shoes.
I was a little dissapointed, since I had a pair of Flux 2 from about 3 years ago that were instantly comfortable and still are great. However these Flux 5 were okay, definitely not as comfortable as the Flux 2. I've been wearing for several weeks of workouts, and they do the job. maybe after another couple of months they'll be more comfortable. Oh, my original Flux 2 are 10 1/2, I ordered 11 because of other comments to order 1/2 size bigger than normal. I had to return the 11s and got the 11 1/2. Needless to say, for my next pair of shoes I'll definitely be shopping around.
