Product | Cushioning | Support Features | Weight |

Mizuno Wave Rider 25 | Medium | Wave Plate | Lightweight |
When it comes to road running, the ALTRA Women's Paradigm 6 shines with its innovative design tailored for comfort and performance. The GuideRail guidance system plays a crucial role in enhancing stability, making it an ideal choice for both beginner and experienced runners who seek additional support.
The FootShape toe box truly sets these shoes apart, allowing your toes to relax and spread naturally. This feature not only improves comfort but also contributes to a more efficient run by promoting a natural gait. If you are someone who often feels cramped in traditional running shoes, the Paradigm 6 will likely be a game changer.
In terms of cushioning, the Altra EGO Max midsoles provide an exceptional level of responsiveness that keeps your feet feeling fresh even on those longer runs. Coupled with the 30 mm stack height, these shoes offer great protection without compromising on stability. You’ll appreciate how the design prioritizes your foot's natural biomechanics, encouraging proper form throughout your stride.
However, while there is much to love about the Paradigm 6, it’s worth noting that some may find the fit of the toe box too generous at first. This larger space can take some getting used to, especially for those accustomed to more traditional running shoes. Additionally, while the price reflects the quality, it may not appeal to all casual runners looking for economical options.
Overall, the ALTRA Women's Paradigm 6 Road Running Shoe stands out as a robust option for serious runners looking for comfort, support, and durability in their footwear.

These are a dream for me! Nice wide toe box without a wide heel. My toes spread very wide and my heels are narrow (my feet are shaped a lot like a flipper). Every pair of running shoes I have ever had has made my outside toes go to sleep and/or hurt. These let my toes spread out, not just improving balance, but allowing my feet to be in their natural state, not smooshed. Heels don't slip. Cushioning and arch support are perfect for me. Can't say enough good. They do run a little short. Paying attention to the size chart and reviews is important for this brand. I had to return the first pair I ordered in my usual size and order a size up. Great buy for the price and great shoe!!
This is one of the best pairs of running / walking shoes I've ever owned. The unique shape of Altra's shoes works really well for my feet as I have wide toes but a narrow heel. With most shoes, I usually end up either getting blisters on my heels or wearing my toes out of the side of the shoes - Altra's shoes fit my feet well, are comfortable, and don't wear out a month in from rubbing my toes on the sides. This is the first time I've ever seen a higher support shoe from Altra, and I'm very glad I found them. I've enjoyed their trail running shoes before, but they are very low support. I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis and have needed more support than the trail running shoes provide, and these were the perfect result. My current pair has already lasted many miles, and I fully expect to buy another pair as soon as they wear out.
Absolutely love these sneakers!! They allow my feet to spread when walking. They are so light feeling in your feet. They do run slightly small so I would recommend buying a half size up.
I bought these shoes after a bunion surgery to accommodate my swollen foot. The toe box is wide and doesn't squish my toes. These shoes are very comfortable on my naturally wide feet, I wish I had found these shoes years ago. In most shoes I wear anywhere from a size 7 to an 8. I bought these in an 8 and they are perfect! Highly recommend!
I have an extra bone in the side of my foot so I was looking for something that wouldn't rub it. Unfortunately these did but I don't fault Altra for this. It was nicely cushioned and I loved the color combo. Maybe it will work for someone else.
The first pair of Altra's that I bought were absolutely wonderful! They were comfortable to wear for an entire 12 hour shift without any issues. I wore them completely out! The second pair I bought just a few months ago...awful! Reason being, the tongue was made of a hard plastic/rubber material that rubbed the front of my ankle raw! I never returned them, hoping I would get used to them, but that was a no go.This pair, however, is even better than the first pair! They are comfortable, the tongue is a regular (soft) tongue, plenty of cushion and instep...I was impressed the first night I wore them to work. I'd recommend this particular pair all day long!
Most comfortable shoes and great price
RE: ALTRA Women's AL0A5484 Paradigm 6Made in VietnamOkay, so now I've tried the Torin 6, the Provision 6, and the Paradigm 6. I've decided I like the Provision 6 best. The Provision 6 fits a bit more snugly, has adequate support, and just seems to bend with my foot better. The Torin 6 was fine but it didn't have the support I was after. For the extra price, I thought the Paradigm 6 would be the best of the lot but I was somewhat disappointed. Even though it seemed a bit better constructed, and even though I liked the max padding and the max support, somehow it just didn't feel as comfortable in the toebox as the Provision 6. It was cut a bit wider and the fabric just seemed to pull in the wrong direction for me when I flexed my foot. The shoe also has an odd asymmetrical design at the back of the heel which I didn't like.It was fairly clear that I had received a pair that were already worn and I don't know if that might have contributed to the odd pull in the fabric. They didn't come packaged with the cardboard inserts and tissue my other two came with. The laces on one shoe were flopping everywhere and there was debris in the outsole. Good luck to whoever receives them next. I'm sending them back. :)
