The ALTRA Men's Paradigm 7 stands out among its peers due to its groundbreaking Balanced Cushioning system, which is ideal for those looking to improve their running technique. With a focus on maintaining proper foot position, this shoe reduces the risk of injury while maximizing efficiency.
In terms of design, the shoe combines functionality with aesthetics. The breathable mesh upper allows for airflow, keeping your feet fresh during long runs. Furthermore, the rubber sole contributes to impressive traction across diverse surfaces, ensuring stability whether you're running on asphalt or trails.
However, it's worth noting that some runners, particularly those with higher arches, might find the arch support somewhat lacking compared to other brands like Brooks or Nike. If you fall into this category, testing them out firsthand or considering an orthotic insert may be beneficial.
Overall, the ALTRA Men's Paradigm 7 is a solid choice for runners seeking a comfortable, well-cushioned shoe that encourages natural movement, making it a great addition to your running gear.

These shoes are designed to be extra wide at the toe. I usually have to buy 4E extra wide shoes, which makes the shoe loose all over. These shoes are already wide at the toe, and snug at the back. Perfect fit for me!
I’m disappointed! $160 to get an already worn pair of shoes is not ok.
I ordered the P7 in black, and when I opened the box I was surprised with this green-grayish mesh finish. I thought I was crazy until I showed it to 2 other people and they both had the same reaction. Putting it next to black pants, socks, shirts and other shoes and it’s not close to black at all. The heel and insole are black, so is the overlay. Is this a defect?
Very comfortable, nice wide toe box. Want to like them more but already falling apart after light useUpdate - I contacted Altra via their warranty claim and they sent me a new pair with no fuss - great company so using my review… shoes are extremely comfortable
I purchased the Paradigm 6 and returned them. The size 13 was too short and fit tightly, very unlike the Pradigm 5 I have. The 7 is not as roomy as the 5 but is confortable and seems to have more cushion and the rail keeps my foot properly aligned.
Size US 13 fits me nicely in all other shoes and with these my toes are touching. Delivery also requires in-person and with a passcode they text you, so very inconvenient and defeats point of Amazon.
I wear these shoes to work everyday. I have a standing and walking job and the Altra Paradigm are the only shoes that are supportive and cushioned enough to make my feet not hurt. Altra is the only brand of shoes I will wear! Highly recommend!
As others have indicated, the "black" is nowhere near black. I don't know what planet Altra is from where "black" means some kind of weird Teal green blueish weirdness, but it's not Earth and I should know because I'm from Earth. :PSeriously though, these shoes are advertised as black, the picture looks black, and when you get them, they're this weird green. It is SUPER obvious because there are accents and other pieces of the shoe that are actually black, some of those accents are on the greenish mesh, so the contrast jumps out at you.If I wanted a weird green with minty green accents on the white soles, these would be awesome. But I ordered black because I want black. This is sad because I love Altra shoes. I have two other pairs, and my wife has a pair, and we love them. But this color blind nonsense is bananas.Look, make shoes in whatever color you want. It's your company, go nuts, be you. But don't call it black when it is nowhere near black. Just be real. Make black shoes or don't, just be honest about it how hard is that?
