I love these boots! We have a lot of wet/snowy/muddy weather where I live and these comfortable boots have become a wardrobe staple for me. They keep my feet dry and warm (sometimes a little too warm, but light weight socks can help with that). They've lasted a year so far with no signs of of quitting. I'd definitely buy them again.
Love these boots. We use this for walking the dogs and shoveling the deck etc... we have two pairs so we can be twins. They are roomy, I ware an 8.5 so I ordered a size 9 so I can put on a few layers of socks to keep the fee extra warm depending on the weather outside. Highly recommended!
I bought these for my husband about a month ago. He loves them. Heck, even I love them. They are perfect for the farm. The only thing he did not care for was how tall they are so he rolled them down. They keep your feet SO warm, even in the snow. Whether you’re walking in puddles, on rocks, or on snow, it feels like you’re walking on clouds. He said I did a great job picking them out & he would buy them again. Maybe he’ll buy me a pair. Ha ha
Good boots. When I first received them I thought they were too large (Men's 14), there was a decent amount of heal slop (vertical movement of the heal while walking) I went to a local store and tried a size smaller (Men's 13) and my big toes rubbed, so I knew the 14's were the right size. They're not going to fit like a boot you would normally lace up. The first day I got them, I went for an hour long walk through some dense vegetation. Feet felt great when I got home. No blisters. Dry feet. Easy on and off.
Great boots, glad I bought them.
I always enbied the folks with Mucks at the Horse Ranch I worked, so I finally broke down and bought a pair. Wore them all weekend for opening of Deer Season. My feet stayed warm, dry, and comfortable. No hotspots or rubbing. They are light weight and had solid traction. I wear a 9 to 9 1/2 and am just a little on the wide side, they were roomy with a regular weight sock. Would be fine with a heavy sock when it's colder.Solid Muck construction, they don't cling to mud, so you don't get caked on crap, and they were super easy to step into. My calves are a bit thick, but not really big, the uppers are close, but not tight.Best pair of hunting boots I've ever had.
I bought these boots in 2008, and they have kept my feet dry through mud, rain, snow, floods, and swamp since then. I have used them consistently for the past 6 years working on horse farms in all the crazy weather we have had. Over the years I have used them at least 4-5 times during the week, and in the winter in deep snow every day to trudge through it. They are unbeatable if you work in any situation where there is mud, high water, or deep snow. They are great in the cold BUT you must wear thick socks, and either hand warmers or heat reflectors to keep your toes toasty. The bottom is rubber, so even though it is always waterproof it will not keep your feet warm without extra layers!!! My trick is thick stockings with heavy duty socks and leg warmers, and my feet stay warm for at least 8 hours working outdoors. Also, you will skate on ice without studs! I learned that quickly, but you can work without the studs as long as you mind your step, and have great balance. When it gets below 20 I switch to my fleece lined boots. I have been stepped on by different types of horses from a huge Percheron to ponies, and barely felt a thing and never had a puncture. It is time to get another pair, because the bottom sole has separated off the right boot. These boots are definitely worth the price! $100 for at least another 5 years is a great deal. I bought a 9 last time, but I usually wear a 8.5/9 in shoes. They are a bit large in the summer without all the extra bundling. Spend the money upfront and buy the real thing! You save money in the long run.
When I first received the boots I had to refrain myself from writing a review just commenting on the utter manly-rugged-beauty of these boots. They looked amazing. I ordered an 11, yet they were a bit snug for my taste, as I wanted to be able to fit some thick socks in them during hunting season, so I sent them back thanks to Hank's free return shipping (thank goodness), and got a size 12, which were really too big, which led to some slippage by the heel, but the sizing problems should not deter you from buying these boots. My feet usually don't like to cooperate in these matters anyway. The function of the boots themselves is to what? Keep your feet dry, comfy, warm, and protected from the various terrain you may find yourself in. These boots ACE everything in every one of those categories! As far as warmth, well, sometimes I wish they had an internal thermostat so I could keep my feet cooler on these warmer days of spring, but when winter was here, they were beyond perfect. As far as sporting and outdoor activities, I have only been fishing in them so far, but they have been excellent for everything I have encountered. Several times when wading in the creek or pond I will step someplace that I believe will finally conquer the top of these boots, but the water has yet to overcome these boots. If you're in limbo between the 15 inch or the shorter version, I would suggest the 15 inch as these boots will roll down easily for convenience or comfort. Overall, these boots have been a great buy, and I would have no hesitations in buying another pair after these wear out, if they ever do!!!
