I love these boots. I was able to find them for less than $200 which is well worth it. I have narrow feet, so they are slightly wide. This is not a problem for standard activities. Longer days on my feet, thicker socks work. The leather is very nice, but there is little to no ventilating for your feet. This is a common and worthwhile tradeoff. I am diehard Solomon for my hiking boots and shoes, so I have not tried them on the trail. My best guest is the Ankeny will shine in more urban environments. I highly recommend these for style and quality of materials.
Very comfy and nice boots. Love the way they look and they’re definitely warm and waterproof. Would recommend.
Good tread, nice and light. fit is great!
Take some getting use to, like anything since I've received them it hasn't snowed or rained yet.....so a future review will come. They definitely blocked the cold today here in Hagerstown Maryland where it was in the 40's; when I had them on..
Expect more of a rain boot feel material wise with the fit of a traditional boot. The toe cap internally is spacious and I would recommend a thicker sock for cold/snow weather traveling. The boot is not well insulated but is well protected against water. Also, the best laces I’ve ever had on a boot. Easy to put on and take off. Will buy another pair in the future.
Used not as my daily wear but still broke down two year after purchase. These boots do not stand the test of time. If repaired, they would be the best spring/fall boot. Unfortunately they will not last more than 4 seasons.
