Detailed Review

The Bogs Men's Sauvie Slip On Waterproof Rain Boot stands out not only for its waterproof capabilities but also for the overall comfort it offers. Designed with rebound cushioning, these boots provide exceptional support that can last through all-day wear, making them suitable for both casual outings and outdoor activities.

One of the most impressive features of this rain boot is its 3mm Neo-Tech insulation. This ensures that even in cold, wet conditions, your feet remain warm without overheating. The lightweight nature of the boot adds to its appeal, allowing for easy on-and-off functionality.

Odor control is another critical aspect where the Bogs Sauvie excels. Thanks to the DuraFresh bio-technology, unpleasant smells are actively fought, which is a huge plus for those who find themselves wearing their boots for extended periods or in various environments.

Safety is paramount, especially when navigating slippery surfaces. With the BioGrip slip-resistant outsole, you can confidently tread over wet terrains without worrying about slipping. Moreover, the Bogs Max-Wick feature efficiently moves moisture away from your foot, ensuring dryness throughout your day.

However, it’s worth noting that some users have reported that the fit can be snug for individuals with wider feet. Additionally, while the outsole provides great traction, it may show signs of wear quicker than expected if used on very rough grounds.

Pure indulgence

I love these shoes, but they don't last really long. I have permanent athletes foot and need to keep my feet dry. I live where we get 140 inches of rain a year. These shoes fit snuggly but perfectly and don't let a drop of water get in. Best waterproof shoe ever. Very comfortable. They crack after a while. I wore them most days all day for 9 months before they cracked, and to me they were worth every penny I paid. You may not be willing to spend $90 for a shoe that doesn't last a year, but to me they are an indulgence and I'm worth it. BTW, I still use them with the cracks and I don't seem to get my feet wet.

Good Product

Slip on and off easily. A little heavy but they are not uncomfortable when walking or standing. Feet stay dry even in wet grass.

Fits like a shoe

My second pair. This one has a nubbier sole. Very good support for a rubber shoe but need a shoe horn to get into them.

Very good winter shoe with one annoying quirk.

These are very good winter shoes. The sole is grippy enough, a very thick cushioned insole adds warmth, and they seem to be pretty indestructable. They're a snug fit around the top, with a cushioned edge, so even if you go in up to your ankles, not much of that cold wet stuff is going to be onboarded. Fit is a little larger than I expected, so I can wear the heaviest socks. There's only one thing I don't like. Because of the small opening at top, you have to use the heel loops to pull the shoe on. And just to make this more of a challenge, those loops have been pressed flat, so it's a bit tedious to fiddle your finger into them every time you put on the shoes.

Great for wet conditions less than ankle deep.

I live in the temperate rainforest of southeast Alaska, and these are my "everyday" walking shoes. They are comforable enough for all day (with the addition of some arch-support insoles that I use in all my shoes to combat plantar fasciaitis).I like the traction of the aggresive, grippy-rubber soles, the comfort of the neoprene collar around the ankle, the hardcore waterproof construction that allows me to walk through puddles and shallow mud or snow without worry, and the slip-on style that makes it easy to kick them off or slip them on when I enter or leave the house. Almost nobody wears shoes in their house here because people's shoes are almost always wet and/or muddy due to the near- constant rain. These shoes make it easy to deal with that.I don't wear these shoes when I'm hiking off-trail or trudging through snow, when I need higher-top or warmer boots. These aren't suitable for running, either. But they excel in wet conditions where you don't expect to go in over your ankles. That's most of the time around here for me so these are my shoes of choice most days. They last me just about one year per pair the way I use them. The failure point has been near the ball of my foot, where the big toe meets the foot. The rubber develops lots of small cracks there after flexing with each step.Let me know if you found anything in my review helpful.

Quality Drastically Dropped Off Over The Years

I ordered a pair of these to replace a pair of Bogs Urban Walkers I've worn for over four years. Before I owned the Urban Walkers, I wore a pair of Bogs Carson Boots since 2012 for casual use and have worn a pair of their Forge Steel Toe Boots for work since 2015.As soon as I took the Sauvies out of the box to try on, I used the heel strap to pull the shoe over my foot, and the strap immediately ripped off. I dismissed this as a defective product and ordered a replacement. To my disappointment, the straps immediately ripped off the left and right boot on the replacement pair! This is very unlikely any sort of misuse, as I used the straps in the exact same way as I did with my Urban Walkers hundreds, if not thousands of times. Additionally, the boots are worthless as a slip on without the strap. This is thoroughly unacceptable, disappointing, and a waste of my time. I was very happy with Bogs’ product over the last nine years, recommended their product to dozens of people, and was looking forward to buying and using them for years to come. In hindsight, I should have read the other one-and two-star reviews for this product.

Best Muck Shoes

I am a farmer and wear muck shoes all the time. I got these on sale and was concerned about the red stripe. However there was no red stripe so they look normal. I want to rave about how comfortable they are - I normally take out the insoles and put in Dr Sholes athletic support insoles. Not even needed! The insole that comes with these is very thick and supportive. The Cushioning and support in these shoes rival tennis shoes and are more comfortable than a 5 star rating can describe. They are easy to don and doff and have great grip as well as a nice heel. They currently beat out my other much shoes around the garden spaces and farm. There is a pro and con to the tread, the tread is deep and so it gives great traction but an track in mud. For the Price I was amazed and have been very satisfied.
