These fit great out of the box. I'm a 10.5 and ordered a size 11 so I can get some thicker socks on for winter use. They have just enough wiggle room to comfortably use with cotton socks, and just enough left over for thick socks int he winter. I wore them for about 9 hours - and I have no complaints. No chafing, no sore spots on the feet. They fit amazingly well and I sure hope they continue to do well. One thing I loved is that they had almost no smell to them when they arrived. These fit a great space in my life - I have a garden and compost pile at the back of the yard. I also have a dog. These are going to live near the back door so I can take the dog out, bring out the compost/trash/recycling and morning garden visit. They slip on and off easily and the only thing I'm upset about is why I didn't buy these sooner!Pros:All day comfort - right out of the boxDidn't fill my house with a 'rubber boot' smellWarm, but didn't overheat me during the fairly mild portion of the dayNice and high boot length but very easy to pull on and off, and no chafing from the top of the bootLighter and less bulky than typical 'winter boots' (though I'll still use those for snowshoeing, etc.)Warmer, more comfortable and fit better than the average rubber garden/muck bootsCons:A little heavier and bulkier than rubber bootsWaited so long to find these and only bought one pair - now my wife wants some too!
Just what I was looking for to slip on and off to take out the bins, etc. Really well-made. And comfortable enough to walk in (although that's not why I bought them.) Easy on and off with holes to grip. Nice item reasonably priced for the quality.
I'm outdoors ALOT, doing all sorts of outdoorsy things. I also live in New England, where it's cold and snowy in the winter, and wet and muddy in the spring. I was looking for a pair of boots that will protect my feet from the cold/snow/rain/mud/etc., are comfortable enough to wear for extended periods, and have enough grip on the bottom to keep me from slipping on ice/wet rock/logs, that sort of stuff. These boots will do everything listed above, and do it all well. They're really easy to get on, are nice and warm, and although they don't have the absolute best grip, it's sufficient. The only drawback is the fact that they run small. Order a size above what you normally wear. I didn't, and I removed the insoles...now my feet fit great. My feet are still comfortable without the insoles.
for my boss in the same size with the same looseness as the other styles.I encourage someone to try these boots, especially if their foot is a larger width or they do not mind wearing more than one pair of socks. The comfort has made up for the looseness in our opinion, plus no more cold feet ever.
Before this purchase I had a pair of Muck which lasted about 8 years of hard daily use. They finally wore out. So I purchased a new pair expecting similar use. Wrong! They came apart after one month. They are still in the barn. I gave Bogs a shot hoping for the best. Bogs went to school on Muck and put together a better boot. Thank you Bogs.
I am a woman with a size 12 narrow feet. I occasionally wear men's shoes when I can't find my size in what I need. I didn't order the woman's Bogs since many of the reviews stated that people should order the next size up. Bogs doesn't offer a size up from 12 in woman's.I ordered the 10 in men's as that I what I wear when I wear men's shoes and boots. I wore medium weight Smart Wool socks and my toes were squished tight! The heel was extremely loose to the point that my heel was lifting what felt like an inch. I returned them. I had to drop them off at my local UPS store, but I got free shipping back and within an hour I had an e-mail from Amazon stating that they were processing my refund.
Everyone’s feet are different, get the size you’d like to get, instead of reading reviews, where people say they are too loose or too tight, “get the size smaller than expected”, NOPE. I had to return them.
The boots are not only durable, but they are also comfortable. I use them on a cold water rafting trip and they worked great. Kept my feet warm and dry.
