I only write reviews about products that make a solid impression on me, usually either very good, or very bad. These boots fall into the very good category. I live in a rural area of South Georgia. You have to go three or four miles in any direction just to reach a paved road. The roads, and especially the long driveway to access the property I am staying on, turn into a quagmire when it has been raining.I have a dog that needs to be walked daily, and I often walk the quarter mile to the mail box and back once or twice a day. The mud was doing a number on my tennis shoes, and my feet were getting wet as well.I read a lot of reviews before settling on these bogs, and I am delighted with my choice. These boots excel in a number of ways. First, the elastic material at the top of the boots flare out slightly and make it very easy to get my feet in and out. There is no wrestling to get my feet into, or out of the boots. The boots are also very comfortable. I normally wear orthotic inserts inside of my shoes, but I have found I do not need them with these Bogs. There is a nicely contoured insole, and my feet are comfortable even on lengthy walks. Some people have reported that the boots don't seem to be the size they are advertised, but when I take the size twelve orthotic insoles out of my size 12 shoes and put them in the size 12 Bogs, they fit perfectly. Of course, when using orthotic insoles in my shoes, I remove the insoles that come with the shoes. There is no removable insole in the bogs, so this does decrease the height inside the boot, making the foot feel somewhat tight on top. But, as mentioned, the Bogs have a well contoured insole and my feet are quite comfortable without the orthotics. The construction also appears excellent. There is some weight to these boots, as the rubber molded boots, and deep tread are made out of sturdy material. There is just the right amount of stiffness and flexibility. My dog tends to pull quite hard on his leash when I am walking him, and with the deep tread I have been able to keep my footing, and not slide around in the mud. These Bogs have also kept my feet completely dry. They definitely deserve a five star rating.
I purchased this pair as a replacement for a pair I wore out. I need warm and waterproof boots while working in the damp Pacific Northwest Winter and Spring. Fit is good, my feet are warm, dry and comfy even while the rest of me may be drenched.I highly recommend these boots and I know I'll be purchasing another pair when I inevitably wear out the current pair.
well made, confortable, 40 below rating make this an excellent choice for the northeast US and ..Antarctica where I found out about them !
These boots are the best. They are waterproof so that you can stomp in puddles and walk around in the rain and snow. They are also great as winter boots, because they stay warm and keep the snow out. The design is great, as they do not have any ties. It allows for you to pull the boots on very fast.
Only wear in winter. These guys really really water proof and get warm quick. Only down fall is watch how you walk. You can slip very easy
Purchased for husband that wears a 15 DD or E. These gave him plenty of room when purchasing a 15. They are sturdy and an easy on and off. Heavy enough for winter weather but also work for spring yard and gardening.
Hopefully the tread breaks in because these things are ice skates! Slip and fell within 2 hrs of putting them on.Tread carefully!
These boots did just we I needed to keep my feet warm and dry while traipsing around Belgium watching Cyclocross races in the mud! I put some long days in the boots with zero issues.
