The Wolverine Men's Legend 6 Inch Waterproof Comp Toe-M Work Boot stands out in several key areas:
With the DuraShocks system, each step feels like you’re walking on air. The combination of cushioning in the heel and flex zones throughout the boot allows for all-day wear without fatigue. Users frequently praise the supportive fit that manages to avoid being cumbersome, even during extended use.
Crafted from 100% leather, these boots are not only designed to look good but also built to endure the rigors of demanding work environments. The waterproof nature further enhances their longevity, ensuring that moisture doesn’t compromise the integrity of the material.
Thanks to the h-plate suspension system, the boots provide excellent stabilization. This unique feature allows for four responsive quadrants that adapt to each step, providing a significant boost in energy return which can be particularly beneficial during physically intensive jobs.
The black and yellow color scheme isn't just for aesthetics; it also increases visibility, which is an essential factor for many job sites. Despite their rugged look, they maintain a stylish edge that makes them versatile enough for casual wear once the workday is done.

I bought these boots at the start of winter, and three months in, I am very happy with them. They were quite stiff at first, especially around the ankle, so I simply didn't lace them all the way up until they were broken in. I wear thick socks but there's still enough room inside without feeling loose, and my feet have never gotten wet even when out in the rain all day. The are tough and well-made, and the soles provide great grip even on wet pavement. A composition toe is my choice for a few reasons: Steel toes get cold, conduct electricity, and set off metal detectors. The comp toe is very tough without these problems. And now that the leather is worked in, they are very comfortable even when I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours and the padding around the ankles is very thick. They are a bit on the pricy side compared to other boots, but I feel like they were worth it. I would like a little more arch support, but that's a personal preference that would not stop me from recommending them.
Great boots. Very comfortable
I have many different boots of all different kinds and brands, these are by far my new favorite. The toe box is very comfortable and spacious, the safety tow doesn't dig into the top of your foot standing or walking, the arch support is in the right place and isn't too big or too small, the back of the boot is notched out on top making walking more comfortable, the ankles are comfortably padded, the lacing eyelets are metal and rounded on the edges so they don't damage the laces, the eyelets at the top of the boots are open and lock your laces in place when you pop your laces in making it easy to get the exact tightness you want, they are pretty warm, and they are waterproof I wear them in snow every day. I live in North Dakota where most of the winter is below zero, with the right socks they make good year round boots. My hats off to Wolverine and whoever designed these boots, they're well thought out and amazing.
These are nice boots but they really start to smell quickly. Smells like a cat went in them.
I stand/walk on hard surfaces at work for 9 hours a day. I'm 170 lbs 5'10", so don't need a wide toe. Out of the box these boots fit well, and took about 2 days to break in, which I thought was pretty good. Very comfortable, seem durable so far. No ventilation, so I use some foot powder & take insoles out every day after work to let boot air out. I need a waterproof boot with safety toe. Great traction sole, could use a thicker insole in my opinion, but my feet feel pretty good at the end of the work day, regardless. I would definitely buy these work boots again. I give them a 9/10.
Used these boots working FedEx for over a year. Was working mostly indoors on concrete floors or steel grates. Right out of the box they were pretty comfy; slapped a pair of Dr. Scholl's Work Gel insoles right on top of the supplied Wolverine insoles, and they were perfect for me. After a year of indoor hard use at the hub, the soles are barely worn. No rips or tears anywhere. They are a bit crumpled and wrinkled up after all that but still perfectly functional. On waterproofing effectiveness: I did have to walk through water fairly often (not lingering in it by any means) and they didn't leak...but I can't speak for folks who have to work in the rain for extended periods. One pro tip...I fully soaked the uppers of these boots, including the tongue, laces and all the seams where leather meets rubber/synthetic material with Ballistol before breaking them in, and treated them again after break in was finished, about a week. I re-treat all my leather shoes/boots with Ballistol about every 2-3 months. It will darken the leather, but imho improves the waterproofing and keeps leather supple.Boots: recommended.
Very comfortable right out of the box. Much lighter than other boots I've purchased in the past. This is the first pair of Wolverine boots I've ever bought and I'm very pleased with them. If they last me a year, I'll definitely keep buying them.
Something I noticed with the change of manufacturers is the decline in quality. The first boots I ordered were manufactured in China which were of good quality. They lasted me about 9 months before a boot swap was needed. The boots made in malaysia didn't last as long. Somewhere around 6 months in and I had to swap boots. The adhesive was stripped away in some parts and the water was getting in where composite toe and the sole meet on the front. The boots made in cambodia which I purchased (MARCH 21st, 2023) only lasted me three months before the sole ran through. You can see the cushioning part already getting exposed.I work as a garbage laborer for the City so I'm constantly walking down alleys dumping carts and throwing bulk away. This just doesn't make any sense how the quality has gone downhill and the price has gone up. I paid $165 for my first pair and over time it has gone up to $190. yeah, No thanks.I switched back to my Made In China version of the Wolverine Legen carbon pros.EDIT: I assumed it was 4 months. It was 3 months actually. Disappointing.
