These are the best boots you can put on your feet! I have severe nerve pain and it's terribly worse if I have to stand up and walk, but these boots make it a little more bearable and for me that's a huge deal! I worked in my first pair for 2 years before being disabled and wore them the last 12 years until they started to come apart. There are negative reviews that make complaints about things they should have considered that are in the description! They only take about a day to loosen up and then it's like walking on pillows. They are insulated (in the description) so they are great for winter but really not as bad as you think in the summer. They are a little bulky but they are puncture proof and truly are waterproof. The Composite toe is roomy and the it shank gives enough support without making them overly rigid. Boondocks come in many configurations, for those who gripe about them being too hot, and they even come uninsulated and some models have the fire and ice souls. (-64° to 512°) Those are a little stiffer for my condition but I did try them and if I didn't have the nerve pain I would have kept them indefinitely. You can't go wrong with them, just read the description and get what's best for you! This style of Timberlands truly are the best boots you can put on your feet, and I wore nothing but Redwings for 15 years so that's saying a lot!
Comfortable and sturdy
When I first received I was shocked at overall size. Looks like astronaut boots. To my surprises VERY lightweight & comfortable Waterproof yet breathable in 100°+ summer temperatures in the south. Waiting to see how warm they keep my feet in winter. Rugged and durable. Getting a linesman stamp of approval on boots is a hard task to do, but this boot did it without any problems!!!!
I would have given these boots 5 stars but I didn't because in my point of view they need a loop on the back so you can pull them on. Aside from that minor glitch these boots are the warmest and most comfortable I ever worn. Right out of the box I put them on and they felt like a pair of running shoes. Working in 5 degree weather with snow on the ground I couldn't wait to take these out. After a 14 hour day I was amazed on how warm and comfortable my feet were. Awesome boots!
Their comfortable compared to other boots I have tried, a bit heavy but you'll get used to them. No complaints after having them for over 2 Mos.
I have put many hours on these boots. I work 12-16 hour days and these are the best boots/shoes I've owned. After working all week in these, I'll go to mow my lawn and my Nike's kill my feet. I had never noticed this before having such a comfortable pair of boots. I literally soaked these in Sno-Seal when i first bought them and they have never leaked on me. I work in an industrial plant that makes plastic automotive parts with a paint line. Sometimes the sludge tanks overflow into the basement and we have to work in ankle deep water and my feet have never gotten wet. As far as the insulation goes, my car broke down on me in January with daily temps failing to reach 40 degrees in the day and around 20 at night and my only transportation option was my motorcycle. I froze everywhere but my feet. 30 mins at 50-60 mph with these boots and wool socks and my feet stayed warm the whole time. I've currently put about 8 months of 60 hours a week on these and still have half the treads on them. I have nothing but praise for these boots.
I'm a mechanic on concrete all day. I have worn lots of other name brand boots and I always come back to timberland for comfort. You'll get about 2 years out of them with heavy use. These boots deliver all day comfort. Wide toe box, perfect fitment. I wear 14w and It's rare to have a boot fit as good as a timberland.Waterproof and warm they are perfect for winter. They are light and breathable for a large boot and they are great in summer.
