I am a tile Setter and hard surface flooring installer by trade. Normally I spend $65 on a decent pair of Skechers or some similar brand. Good comfort for a few weeks and then as the comfort starts to fade the shoe starts to fall apart. I like something with a little more support and protection than a cheap tennis shoe. On the other hand wearing a work boot for flooring while constantly kneeling and bending your toes doesn't really work either, very uncomfortable and heavy/cumbersome. Maybe it's because I'm a larger guy these things are problems. (6'4" 240 lbs). These Timberland work boots have been amazing so far. I have not had them for the Long Haul yet but I can already tell they are going to hold up three times as well as something that costs half as much. Great all day Comfort, they definitely don't get too hot and they have decent dexterity. Nice flat sole that is easy to keep clean as well. Sizing was a touch large, but I think that runs pretty common with all Timberland boots including their Classics which I have a few pairs of and absolutely love. I figured I would be sending these back but I have been surprisingly pleased with them. If and when these wear out I will be grabbing another pair.
Got this shoe for my husband for work as floor installer. Sole is good for not tracking stuff on floor. Immediately felt comfortable, a little wider than expected. Ordered a 13 medium. Husband said it was very comfortable (on his feet for 10-12 hours) Hopefully will hold up for a while!
These boots are well worth the approximately $100 I paid for them. They didn't need any break in at all to be comfortable, and in addition to their comfort, they both feel and look well made. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to someone else.
My husband was unsure of my purchase, but I was tried of him complaining about the other brand he wore for the past 20 years. I needed to find something that would help ease the foot and back pain the old brand was giving him. After reading the reviews, I felt sure the Timberland Pro men's Barstow Wedge Work Boot was just what he needed. Wa-La! He absolutely loves them. No more-aching feet, low back pain and even the old knee's apprieciate the flexability these boots provide. I will continue to purchase these boots for him because if your achy at work- you come home grumpy and I'm so enjoying the smile he comes home with now.
Very nice boots
I wear a 13, and these are the largest pair of boots I've purchased to date. If you have wider than average ankles , wider than average feet, and thicker than average feet, or if you wear really thick and heavy wool socks these would be a good fit, but for average feet they're big. I wear Bates Lites and Asolo heavy hiking boots in 13 and both are snug on me. Build quality is good, the leather looks nice and feels good quality, the stitching is well done, and the insole is fairly comfortable. Not the best insole, but serviceable for sure. They feel heavy, they are work boots so it's expected to some degree, but the fact that they're on the loose side makes it more noticeable. The tread isn't bad, they're not hiking boots so it's not aggressive, but it's enough to feel secure on flatter or damp surfaces.Overall they're not bad, but a bit heavy for going up and down ladders or walking a lot of distance. Standing in place they do look nice and are comfortable.
Most comfortable boot ive owned yet. Trscks no dirt into house. Only downside is how easy they scuff. Gives it character though haha. Also they are not insulated
Have only been wearing these about 7 weeks, and the stitching is already coming out around the side and toe area. Very DISAPPOINTED. Even tho the boot is comfortable, I would not buy again - as they are already falling apart!! Too expensive for that!!
