When it comes to reliability and comfort, the Timberland PRO Men's 6" Pit Boss Soft Toe Industrial Work Boot holds its own among industry standards. The boots boast a padded top collar that enhances comfort, making them suitable for prolonged wear. Whether you're standing on your feet all day or moving around frequently, these boots provide support without sacrificing safety.
One of the standout features is the removable insole, which allows you to customize your comfort level and helps reduce the risk of blisters, a common issue for workers who spend extended hours on their feet. Furthermore, the slip-, oil-, and abrasion-resistant outsoles ensure that you maintain grip even in challenging conditions, setting a benchmark for performance.
However, it's worth noting that while they're constructed from durable leather, they aren't completely waterproof, which might be a consideration if you often work in wet environments. The initial break-in period may also feel a bit stiff, but most users report that they become more comfortable after a few wears.

I don't normally buy shoes sight unseen, but I'm glad I did. They are as sturdy built as the picture looks, well stitched, thick leather, and solid overall construction. They will take a bit of breaking in because they are stiff and made to last, but that's what I wanted, and I can heat the leather and work it to break them in faster. They aren't overly heavy but have some heft to them, about usual for work boots. They seem to be a great pair of work boots and the occasional outdoor, hiking, or hunting that will last.
Great quality boots. Very comfortable, very supportive. Great arch support too, which saves me from having to get separate insoles. When I first tried them on the toe box felt a bit stiff in ways that would rub into my foot when I moved just right. A bit of leather conditioner fixed that immediately. I normally wear a 9.5 wide shoe, but the 9.5 medium in these is just right.I got these for DIY stuff around the house and yardwork, and I expect them to serve me well. I do wish these were full grain leather instead of nubuck, but it's not a deal breaker. But hey - Timberland - I know you're going for sustainable and earth friendly and all of that, but for goodness sake use a box that's actually big enough for the boots! The boots were so crowded in there that the right toe box had a giant dent that dug into me horribly. I spent nearly an hour trying to push it back out and I convinced myself that a bit of leather treatment would take care of the rest. Thankfully I was right, but there really is no excuse for such a packaging failure on what is an otherwise fantastic boot. If I had been wrong about the leather treatment I would have had unusable boots that couldn't be returned. I love the boots, so please fix the box.
I’ve always had the regular Timberland Pro work boots and always wanted a pair of pit boss Timberland boots but they never seem to have my size when I need them. I love the way they look and feel. They are low enough to where they won’t look crazy with shorts because I work in Florida. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a different pair. Just replace these. Extremely well-made and true to the size.
I've moved around with boots a bit and I can say this is a good boot, but dear god did it take some time to break in. The spot just above ankles would come back so sore after a day of work I could not wear them again the next day. They hurt that bad. I don't know why. The top of the boot feels quite nice to the touch, but for some reason it would just rub up against the lowers part of my leg all day and then by the time I got home and take them off I was so relieved to have them off and couldn't put them on again till that part of my stopped hurting. Never before have I ever had a pair of boots make a part of my body so sore before. I had to force them to break in eventually. I wore them occasionally for months trying to break them in, but they just wouldn't and I would stop wearing them becasue of the pain. I eventually learned a good tip. Heat the padded top of the boot with a hair dryer or heat gun. Not to hot to melt or burn it, but enough to loosen and soften it. Then just grip, tug, pull, roll, and essentially beat the tar out of it. I still do it just without the heat every other time I put them on just to make sure they don't start hurting me again. They are durable boots as far as I can tell, but don't I've never had this problem before. Probably will just spend the extra money on some Keens next time, but hey I wanted to try them out and if you are willing to force them to break in then I say give them a try.
Good looking boots and comfortable.
Great fit and very comfortable! Also saved about $30 buying them on black Friday! Great deal for a great brand! Definitely recommend
I am in the construction industy for over 10 years in a managerial role and have owned many brands of boots. Having owned a pair of timberlands in the past I thought I’d give them another go.First week after owning the stitching on the emblem of the tongue was coming undone. I didn’t judge the boot at that point because they still looked nice and were comfortable. Now after having used them Monday through Friday for 9+ months I can comfortably say I will not be buying another pair of timberlands. I have glued both bottoms back on now and the insides are coming apart.
Comfortable fit.
