2020: Great boots, I usually wear the Timberland White Ledge hiking boots for work in security/law enforcement. I also owned the former version of these with a more agressive looking sole (they were fantastic and looked great esp. new). These are good and comfortable, the great quality you expect from Timberland. They look more tactical and they are comfortable but I find the Timberland White Ledge hiking boot to be a bit more comfortable and at a better price. I am not disappointed in these boots though, they are comfortable, have a great tactical look, have a nice cushioned layer in the sole where the vertical lines are, and they provide a nice lift with the thick sole. I'm satisfied with the product so far. This product (pictured) closest, the former model in the middle and white ledge farthest away. Update: AUG 2022, two years later and these boots are still at work, I do switch up sometimes but these are far more durable and have lasted longer than the previous model (I liked the look of those better) and the white ledge, my work would chew up the white ledges and spit them out in less than a year. I'm at work and have them on now, they have held up really well, better than the other two models pictured. The others MIGHT have been slightly more comfortable but the increased durability has negated that, it's minimal. Upgraded to 5 stars. I have another pair that are waiting in the closet but the pair pictured are still going strong. Long lasting, sole still looks very good and I work on my feet, now COVID might have slowed the pace a bit, but still great up to 5 stars from 4. Update 2023.01.01 I've had these boots three years now & parts are starting to show wear, shoestrings thinning, cracks in leather, worn lining on the sides of the insides of the boots, there is some real visible wear on the rear of the heals on the sole BUT if I shine them up they still look great, still great support, unbelievable, and I work on asphalt, not an office or smooth concrete, three years and still going strong, I have a pair I bought a year ago to replace these that have only been worn once or twice and NOT to work. I think I can get another year out of these with them still looking good but they need a weekly or biweekly shine now to hide their age and wear. Still comfortable as ever with lots of tread on the bottom. Up to five star+++ unbelievable, best boots I've ever had PERIOD.
These boots are not just the most comfortable work boots I've ever had. They are up there with the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn. They fit great, they are light and the lacing system is excellent. The laces are very thin, but seem quite strong. And the boot pulls actually work and help get the boots on easily.
Seems like a pretty boot so far. When I first received the boot out the box they look cheap like Walmart special like plastics looking boots but to my surprise they are holding up very well like rain, mud ,oil, blood I'm a tow truck driver and I needed boot to hold up to anything I though at it
I've worked in every variety of weather and the only thing i hated was being wet in winter. When I purchased these I figured theyd last a season. I didnt do a single thing to them to preserve or add to them being labled waterproof. I just laced up and ran. They didnt leak for just over 2yrs and I wore them daily. My feet never ached from the boot being uncomfortble. I was never tired from walking. The only reason they leaked is because I wore a hole in my sole. So last year I tried another brand, treated them same way and they didnt last 7mo. Last month I bought from Timberland just different style but always waterproof and last week. I bought another pair.I'LL NEVER BE WET AGAIN!...uhhh that made me feel like i was in a civil war movie..Timberland's Valor earned my Loyalty
The boots are nice looking. Used them for a couple of days. The left boot rubbed my toes and found that there was extra fabric in the upper toe box area. The right boot had some too but not as much. I like Timberland Pro boots so I will exchange them for a new pair. Received my exchanged pair and same problem. Seller was great with dealing with the problems. Disappointed in Timberland thought.
I have finicky feet. It's hard to find a shoe much less a boot that is comfortable, especially for hours on end. These Tims have worked wonderfully. I had a pair of Timberland hiking boots for work and needed to replace them. These fit similarly but with more support and a higher ankle support. I can't tell you what shoes/boots to purchase, but these have met my 8+ hour a day, on my feet continuously, stoop and kneel needs.
Most comfortable boots I've wore, since working as a correctional officer, and I'm a female at that. Always on cement, always walking, sometimes for 16hrs in a day. These are no wear in time, very comfortable, support my ankles, definately metal detector friendly. This is the second pair I have purchased. The first pair lasted about a year and a half. And I could still wear the old pair if I had to. I have always been a big fan of Timberlands and they haven't left me down yet!
This is a very rigid shoe, not as comfortable as some others I’ve tried, probably due to meeting or exceeding durability and weatherproofing design. Tempted to give it two stars, but I wanted a boot that was waterproof and durable. These may look and feel a bit like Frankenstein boots, but I am confident that they will make up for it in lasting more than a year before falling apart, as my last two pairs from other companies have. One more note, these feel very much like ski boots. They do not fit loosely, but are rigid feeling. The soles feel higher than most boots.Working outside in four seasons in upstate New York, it’s nice that they are lighter than my last timberland boots, bc it’s harder to trudge around in heavy boots all day, like the older, classic Tims.
