Detailed Review

When it comes to construction footwear, the Skechers Mens Blais Bixford doesn't disappoint. The first thing you will notice is the robust steel toe, which meets safety standards while ensuring your toes remain protected from heavy objects. For those working in environments with electrical hazards, this shoe provides peace of mind with its electrical hazard-rated design.

Comfort is paramount, especially for long hours on your feet, and the Blais Bixford excels in this area thanks to its memory foam insole that molds to the shape of your foot. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals requiring additional support due to foot fatigue. The lace-up closure system allows for an adjustable fit, making it easy to achieve the perfect snugness.

The waterproof feature is another standout aspect of this shoe, ensuring that your feet stay dry in wet conditions—a crucial requirement in many construction and outdoor scenarios. Additionally, the rubber sole offers exceptional grip on various surfaces, diminishing the risk of slips and falls.

However, it’s essential to consider that some users find the initial stiffness to be a minor drawback until the shoes are fully broken in. Furthermore, the weight of the shoe may be more significant compared to traditional sneakers, but this is often a trade-off for enhanced durability and protection.

Overall, the Skechers Mens Blais Bixford Construction Shoe is a solid choice for anyone seeking a blend of comfort, safety, and functionality in their work footwear.

Holds my feet like gloves, so much support, arch, heel, toes. Snug, snug, snug as a bug.

Holds my feet like gloves, so much support, arch, heel, toes. Snug, snug, snug as a bug. Keeps your feet feeling light and fresh all day, instead of worn out after a work shirt. Trust me. The snug, secure fitting can't be praised enough. The memory foam insert inside is top quality, easily a $20 pair of separates if you were to buy them. These are made well to last a long time. I unload trucks for a living, warehouse work, trust me, these come in handy. Takes a day to break in the steel toe, and get the boots 100% used to your foot.Telling you, I'd sleep in these things if I could. I've been trading boots in a out for years and years. These are worth every single damn penny. The lacing and ankle support really adds to the secure fitting of the boot, and gives you comfort and support during the day. These boots cannot be praised enough for the toughness and comfort, never quits on you. Feet feel like they've been massaged all day, instead of worn out.

Great work boot that won't hurt your wallet!

I always like Skechers. I like the way they look. My foot is also on the wide side. They don't hurt my feet or make them feel "squished" like most other brands do. I now needed to buy a steel toe shoe for work. I was reading some of the other comments and it seemed to lean more to they weren't made well for a work shoe/boot. I looked at Timberland's & other highly rated shoes. I went to a Skechers store and tried these on. I fell in love immediately. They were so comfortable. They have the gel inserts & were not as heavy as I expected for a steel toe boot. I used them on the first day of a new job without breaking them in. My feet never got tired or felt uncomfortable. They are well made & look good! More than few people mentioned they looked great & inquired where I bought them. And the price won't hurt you. I bought them on Amazon for $70 when I had a $150 budget. Money well spent.

... to say for a work boot these are incredibly comfortable. They get the job done and they are ...

I just want to say for a work boot these are incredibly comfortable. They get the job done and they are as promised waterproof. I stepped in so many puddles mud and what have you and my feet remain dry. That being said I've given the shoes the most extensive workout known to man working for a moving company that deals in appliances and now I'm installing glass on buildings. they're like a shoe not too heavy and not feeling like I got iron weights on my feet. That being said I would recommend getting insoles after of time of extensive use and several miles of walking they're comfortable but they will make your legs hurt if you don't have the proper support like me. I will definitely be buying these boots again when these ones run out and the steel toe is a lifesaver. Best part about the shoes and break the bank for you to be spending hundreds if not to hundreds of dollars on other brands of boots.

Order your normal WOMEN'S size

I need steel toe shoes occasionally for work. They don't need to be work boots per se (I've had plenty of steel toe sneakers). I've owned a couple of Skecher's work boots/shoes. My old pair of women's Skecher's boots are 7.5, and fit well. I am an 8 in any other shoe. When I needed new shoes, I got a Skecher's work shoe size 8. They are a half size too big. So, when ordering these, I assumed they ran a half size too big. Wrong. They seem to run as expected (but maybe a little wide). So, my bad. But the boot itself is great. Steel toe and waterproof (didn't see that when I ordered, an added bonus). I would buy these again, I'll just make sure to order 8's next time. Also, I think the ratings show them as running too small because people ordered them thinking they were men's shoes.

Comfortable Steel Toe Work Boot

I love these boots! They are very comfortable and supportive work boots with memory foam. I have had four pairs of these now in different colors. All fit great and feel like I’m walking on a cloud. Waterproof works great as well!

***Update*** Fell apart!

**Update** after exactly 1 month these boots completely fell apart. The entire sole of the boot peeled off. They progressively got less comfortable too, it felt like the memory foam was deteriorating under the liner. After a month of everyday use to have the boot completely fail is not what I'd expect from Sketchers or this price point boot. I'd say stay away from these boots!I've been wearing these boots for about 2 weeks now. I'm a landscaper, so these boots have been through wet grass, mud, dirt, even some pavers and stone. The fit was perfect, I wear a 10.5 and this boot fit comfortably. Wasn't too narrow, the length was perfect too.Comfort is a 2/5 for me. The memory foam must have forgotten because it offers no support or comfort whatsoever. It has no cushion to it, I expected it to feel like actual memory foam inserts but instead just felt like a standard insert. I replaced them with a new set of more comfortable inserts and all is well.Construction, so far is pretty good. I've tried so many different brands of boots and I'm convinced there's something with doing landscaping that destroys them, I'm not sure, but so far these boots have stayed together and there's no pulled stitches or cracks anywhere in the material.I wasn't crazy about the fabric lace loops, I tie my boots absurdly tight, always have no idea why but I do and so far they (knock on wood) haven't torn or ripped. it's easy to get a snug fit with the laces as long as you remove the gigantic plastic "sketchers" tag on the laces. With the new inserts I can comfortably be on my feet all day. I'm walking behind a mower or trimming constantly and these boots have taken some abuse but they are actually quite impressive. I didn't expect so much from the brand but these are a really great hiker, work boot. The steel toe is comfortable and makes no noticeable difference in weight of the boot. Overall really happy with them so far !

Nice boot, bad tread

I work in a commercial plumbing yard. On a forklift most of the time. The boots are very comfortable, and very roomy in the toe area. However; tread wears out WAY too fast (<5 months), and you only get one good 'toe saving' before the steel toe area becomes deformed making the boot painful to wear.
