I walk a lot at work, these are very comfortable and have held up good to the grating of stairs and platforms at the plant.
I work offshore on oil rigs. I am in production and up and down stairs all day. These are bulkier than regular tennis shoes, but they are still very comfortable. The last pair of steel toe tennis shoes I tried rubbed blisters on the back of my heels. These did not and didn’t require any break-in. I ordered normal size 11.5 wide and was able to add a pair of doctor scholos insoles on top of the removable scetchers insoles without issue. They are much lighter than steel toe boots and well ventilated. My feet do not get hot in these. Have used them for 2 21 days hitches and they are holding up surprisingly well on the greeting and stairs.
First impression of feel and fit for these were so so. My right foot fit well and my left foot felt a bump on the side of my big toe where the metal box started. The box itself has the edged bent inward which is wrong. They should either be straight or bent slightly outward. This was the issue affecting my big toe. I walked around in them for 10 minutes or so and it didn't seem to get any better.Next morning I dressed for work and put the shoes on and could feel the same spot. Was adjusting my foot, twisting it a bit to move it away from that bump in the metal box. Thought the bottoms of the shoes would be more comfortable. That was my initial first impression. After wearing them for a few hours at work the bottoms seem better. While walking they are nice, standing still on concrete isn't as comfy.. The bottom pad has squished a bit lowering my foot in the shoe and this has helped with my toe issue a bit. It's still there but it's much better.Because I'm in the break in period, which my feet always hate with new shoes they seem a bit warm. That usually goes away as my feet acclimate to new shoes but I'm mentioning it anyway. So far the shoes are working out and I'm hoping that my left foot will adjust to the toe box bump. It's certainly not as bad as it was with the 1st wear of the shoe.If I was at the store and had the option of trying on another pair of these I would have because of the toe issue. Good chance I'll edit this in the near future to see if they wear in better or just stay like they are.
Nice shoe. Not too heavy or big. I don’t even think about them while working. The Wide size is great!
The shoes is durable, the outside it a waterproof with a rough fabric that can afford tough environment. The inside liner is very comfortable for people who works for long hours, it is not like other SKECHERS shoes I used before, they enhanced their products. Let’s see how long it will last.
get shoe for outside working, streets,grass,ect.. Now indoors on a wet floor. doesn't even have to be that wet, just damp and you are sliding. Steel toe is great. Just be careful on a wet floor!!!!
