The Skechers Men's Escape Plan Oxford is more than just a stylish shoe; it's a thoughtfully designed piece of footwear that caters to active individuals. The use of a memory foam insole provides incredible comfort whether you're running errands or tackling a rugged trail. This shoe's lightweight design also contributes to its overall comfort, allowing for extended wear without fatigue.
One key feature is the water-repellent quality of the materials. This is particularly beneficial for outdoor enthusiasts who may encounter damp environments. You’ll appreciate how your feet stay dry even when traversing through wet grass or mud.
However, it’s worth noting that the care instructions recommend hand washing only, which might not suit everyone’s lifestyle. If you’re looking for a shoe that can endure harsh cleaning methods or machine washing, you might want to consider alternatives.
When comparing the Skechers Men's Escape Plan Oxford with similar products like the Adidas Terrex Swift R2 GTX and Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 6, the Escape Plan stands out with its exceptional comfort level, thanks to the memory foam. However, competitors offer different sole materials and cushioning types that might appeal to varying preferences.

I purchased a pair of Skechers Men's Escape Plan Oxford sneakers while in Germany about eight years ago. They were everything I wanted in a sneaker - support, comfort, and some weather protection. They fit me perfectly and have lasted an incredibly long time given that I wear them daily.I found the exact same sneaker on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They fit exactly the same as when I purchased them eight years ago. So, not only are they a great sneaker, they have probably (I hope) been manufactured to the same great standard as when I originally purchased them.
The shoes are very comfortable. They are true to size.
I'm on my feet for around 8 hours straight every day, so the first couple of days in a new pair of shoes always worry me. Never know if I'm going to get home with blisters. With these, no issues at all. My feet sunk in like they've been my day to day shoes for months on my first wear. All the stitching seems very well done and the design is stylish without being overly obnoxious, like many shoe designers are doing (looking at you Nike- your shoes look ridiculous- if people want to give you a month's worth of paychecks for clown shoes, hey, more power to ya, I guess...). Anyway, It's been a month now and every day I look down, I think, "These were a good investment". I'll probably order another pair soon just in case these last me years and this style goes out of stock by then. Plus, I'm planning a week of backpacking through the Alps next year and I can't think of another shoe I'd rather be wearing for a walk like that. The only thing I would like to see with this shoe would be a steel-toe version, but even without that option, I can say that these are some of the best shoes I've ever worn.
These shoes were comfortable and useful on trials but only for about a year.I didn't expect a lot from these shoes except a wider possibility that they would be comfortable coming from Sketchers - noted for their wide range of wide fitting shoes. And the comfort was delivered. I did expect them to last a little longer than a year. I used them mostly for trail walking/hiking on average about one or twice a week and after only 15 months, they have lost enough tread to make them troublesome/dangerous on some sandy, slippery trail hikes.I have had shoes that lasted 5, 10 years in the past but maybe in this era of harmfully disposable lives a year is becoming the norm
Looks nice and very comfortable.
I like the fit on this shoe. It's considered a hiking shoe because of the tread, but I wear them with dress jeans because they just look good.
Great comfortable shoe
