When it comes to the Skechers Kids Energy Lights Eliptic Sneaker, the standout feature is undoubtedly the illuminated accents. Kids often look for shoes that not only serve their functional purpose but also express their personality. The vibrant, color-changing lights can be a major draw, providing a visual treat during evening activities or parties.
In terms of comfort, the mid-top design ensures adequate ankle support while allowing freedom of movement. Whether your kid is at school or out on the playground, these sneakers manage to blend comfort and style effectively. The breathable fabric keeps feet cool, which is a crucial aspect during warmer months.
As for functionality, the shoe's rubber sole offers impressive grip, which is particularly important for young ones who tend to run and jump a lot. The addition of the dual-charge USB cable simplifies the charging process, so parents won't have to fuss too much with replacing batteries.
However, while the lighting feature is exciting, it does come with the caveat of requiring a charge. This might be a consideration if your child tends to forget about charging their favorite toys and gadgets. Additionally, the color selection might not cater to every child's preference, so it's worth checking what options are available before making a purchase.

Sketches has outdone themselves on this shoe and like shoes, They have USB cables, (split cables) one Insert USB< to charge both shoes at the same time, The shoes will flash red until charged then they will turn green, Ready to use. There is several setting on the shoes, with tons of fun ones and stones for your child to enjoy, we actually bought several different styles of the shoes, and all of them are the same on the sole and different colors, but they are incredible and I am sure you child will love them. My Son has worn 1 pair so far to a 4th of july event, Without incident, and the strobes on, the lights last around 5 -7 hours depending on setting used, They do stay on instead of turning off when your not walking. But hitting the tongue of the shoe to off will conserve battery life, when they are sitting or in a family or school environment. SUPER SUPER cool. Glad I invested in them.
These are so nice. Actually my granddaughter is the one who I bought them for. They light up and blink and change colors just like ad said. I did have to buy a cheap pair of shoes in case it rains or snows. I'm sure it would spoil them. That's the only problem with those shoes.
This shoes was a birthday gift for my son. He chose the shoe color himself. He is loves the silver look as well as the lights at the sole of the shoe. He also likes that he can change the color and color pattern of the lights. I had to return the first pair and size up on my second order. This was to make sure that he would not out grow the shoes in two months time (He is in the age range of 8-10.) He says that she fits good. What I dislike is the shoe strings. The material the shoes are made of makes if difficult for the shoe lace to remain tied. May want to change out the shoe string.
I got these shoes for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loved them. He thought they were the coolest shoes ever and so do his friends. The lights change from red, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, and flashing lights. He can make each shoe a different color or match them to be the same color. He wears them about 3-4 times per week and I only have to charge them once a week, which is great. Plugging them in for one night is all we really need for the entire week.I was very happy to find them in this blue metallic color that is vivid and metallic-- very attractive color to a 5 year-old. I was nervous that the metallic finish would be hard to keep clean, but that has not been an issue at all. I have to clean the white light area more often, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to other shoes with white soles. The reasons I am giving this product 4 stars and not 5 is because one of the lights on the left shoe went rogue and is stagnantly purple. It is the only one that doesn't change when he tries to change the color. This happened about a month after I got them. Also, his shoe laces are always coming untied with these shoes so that is very annoying. I would like to have a thinner lace.
My daughter received these as a Christmas present and did not stop smiling. She immediately took them out of the box and one of the shoes was charged so she kept watching the different light patterns and colors. I was unsure about them when we plugged the other shoe in and it took over 2 hours to charge for the 1st time but so far they have been good shoes. We have to remind her to not get them wet as the charge port is in the tongue of the shoes. She has not taken them off her feet unless we make her. I am waiting for someone to say something at school about her playing with the light patterns there, but so far so good. No complaints at all. "I really enjoy them" is what she said when asked to describe the rating for them.
Super disappointed. We got these shoes and the box was completely smashed up. (Didn't effect the shoes but was still discouraging). My son wore them one (1) time and they lit up and were fine. When we returned home to charge them, we noticed the right shoe wouldn't light up. We cant turn it on all of a sudden and this was working just earlier that day. We waited and it still hasn't turned back on. Switched out cords and all...It's just not working. This isn't my first purchase of these shoes. Previously I bought a pair at Skechers and ended up returning them cause the lights were dim and never brightened even after charging them. My son wanted them so bad I chose to purchase another pair since they were significantly cheaper here on Amazon. Sad to say its the product. It doesn't matter where you purchase its 50/50 on whether they will work!
Omg, the smile that came upon my grandsons' faces was everything to me. Their faces lit up like the shoes! At first, I only purchased this pair for the youngest because the oldest chose something else rather than the scetchers, but when I saw the excitement he had for his brother; I asked if he'd like me to order him a pair. Of course, we are waiting on the silver ones to come in any day now! They fit comfortably... I went up a half size bigger so they could get more wear in them. They don't flop off, but they do have a little room for growth! In the words of my 5yrs old grandson, "G-Mama these are the best ever!
My son picked these out for his birthday. They fit great, and he absolutely loves them. However, when I gave him the box and he opened them, we noticed right away that there was a thick cloudy layer of something all over the metallic blue of both shoes. It looks like someone might have put some kind of shoe protectant all over them, noticed it looked horrible, and then returned them... and then we were unlucky enough to get them next. Not sure why they would be sent back out like that, if this is in fact what happened. I spent quite a few hours trying to get it all off, trying everything I could think of. Whatever it was did NOT want to come off. I did finally manage to get most of it off, but I'm worried whatever that stuff was might have caused permanent damage and might have some effect later on (loss of the metallic blue color, turning cloudy, etc, who knows). I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I would have just returned them, but my son was SO excited about these and he really didn't want to have to wait while we sent them back, ordered new ones, etc.
