I bought these boots for my husband , who is very picky and he loves them.
I prefer these for kitchens. The composite toe has protected numerous times. They are not peeling the top layer even after 4 months. Although, now, I need some insoles because no matter how good a shie is, it will wear down.
The tread under these boots have lasted longer than any pair of boots I have ever owned. I've been wearing them since AUGUST OF 2021! I'M STILL WEARING THEM AS OF JANUARY 2022! I'm a postal carrier who walks for hours every day so I highly recommend them.I have scraped the front of these shoes on stairs without it tearing apart, giving my shoes the dreaded sole-mouth like other shoes have. You can also take the insole out if needed and replace them with whatever you want. The laces aren't cheap; detangling, tearing or wearing out in short order like other shoes I've purchased. They work well in wet environments too
Had for a week now, not as slip resistant as my last pair, SRMAX Lewiston, and way more of a pain to get on/off. Very light though, like sneaker weight. Work maintenance in a auto parts plant, so constantly in and around machinery, with coolant and oil under foot, the SRMAX especially when new offered much more grip; these slide more, also because of the way the upper laces, laced, were a breeze to remove and put on, these Shoes for Crews have regular lace holes all the way up and so the top 2-3" have to be really loosened off a lot to remove and replace. The SRMAX's lasted almost 2 years before the sole began to crack/split but the uppers were still in really good shape, shame they couldnt be resoled, we will see how these last in the same environment/conditions. Comfort, at the moment is fine, plenty of toe room, and I usually take a WIDE fitting, but these are ok as regular. SRMAX boots needed better insole inserts pretty soon after purchase.UPDATE, After a few weeks wear, I regret buying, slip resistance hasn't gotten any better once 'briken in', and I hate putting on and taking off, top 4/5 laces have to be physically pulled loose thru their holes to give enough room to remove, tightening is likewise a pain, because there is no plastic or metal eyelets for the laces, just punched holes in the material, and no speed lace hooks, you just can't pull on the ends to get tight, it has to be done lace by lace. Do yourself a favor and get the SRMAX brand. Pity cause I was an early adopter of shoes for crews, when they initially had their amazing trial period or return, but things change..... Now I'd give a 2 for the star ratings
Comfortable to work in
I've had these boots about 3 months so far they great, stitching has held up very well and they are ALMOST waterproof. They do resist slipping in heavy grease and water combined. I work at a BBQ place and I deal with the Pit so there is a lot of grease/oil and I do fine. Had to undo one set of eyelets that made the laces too tight on my ankle. Also the laces provided were too long and ended up frayed in about 2 weeks so buy good laces and gel inserts are a must. They are NOT CUSHY they made my feet hurt but after a good gel insert they were top notch. Will def buy again maybe about 1/2 size smaller but. 83% satisfied
Im that kind of person i never have issues with any show, but particular ones are the worst i don't recommend , i spent 70 dollars just to have my feet hunting
I wear there in the restaurant business and I find my self walking through water all the time did not slip or lose footing one time great shoe. My only wish is that the shaft was a few inches taller I like a really good boot
