SAO Are very comfortable to support around.
These are well made wonderful shoes, except for one thing, the laces were too long (36"), not only that, but they did not hold the knot and loosened up extremely easily, just by walking. I ended up buying (Amazon) TOFL black leather boot laces I cut them to a length of (27") and they work great and fit perfectly. I did have a hell of a time threading the leather laces through the holes because the shoes don't have eyelets, but by carefully inserting a closed needle nose pliers through the holes I made them bigger (gently, without tearing up the holes) so I could then thread the leather laces through. I think they will work well in WI snow -- if they're waterproof?? If not I'll have to buy a can of water repellent spray... and even with all the additional cost I still think it's a great shoe
I can't believe how comfortable these low profile shoes are - I have been wearing ankle high boots from both LUGZ and Georgia Giant for well over 15 years - I was concerned about adjusting to a new style of show - but these have been fabulous.
