The Rocky Industrial Athletix Hi-Top Composite Toe work shoe redefines what a work boot can be. Designed with an athletic aesthetic, these shoes prioritize comfort without sacrificing durability or safety. The upper is crafted from high-performance abrasion-resistant mesh, enhanced with a TPU overlay, ensuring that they withstand the rigors of daily wear while maintaining breathability.
Reflective highlights provide visibility in low-light conditions, making them suitable for various work environments. Lightweight and flexible, the cement construction not only gives these shoes a modern feel but also adds to their overall comfort. With an EnergyBed footbed featuring memory foam, you can expect superior cushioning that adapts to your foot's shape. The Rocky Rebound EVA midsole absorbs shocks effectively, which is essential for those long hours on your feet.
Safety is paramount, and these shoes do not fall short. They feature a composite toe that meets ASTM F2413 Protective toe standards, ensuring your toes are protected. Additionally, they are non-metallic and rated for electrical hazard as per ASTM F2413 standards. Their slip resistance is enhanced by a rubber outsole designed for oil and slip resistance, providing confidence whether you're on a slick surface or working in unpredictable conditions.

When it comes to comfort, the Rocky Industrial Athletix Hi-Top excels. The combination of the EnergyBed footbed and the Rocky Rebound EVA midsole means you won't be feeling fatigued even after standing for extended periods. The memory foam adapts to your foot, offering personalized support.
In terms of durability, these shoes are built to last. The abrasion-resistant mesh coupled with TPU overlays is a testament to their robust construction. You’ll appreciate how well they hold up under pressure, whether you’re working in a warehouse or on a construction site.
Safety features are equally commendable. The composite toe protection combined with electrical hazard ratings provides peace of mind. You can confidently take on jobs that require a level of safety consideration without feeling burdened by heavy boots.
However, if you seek ankle support, keep in mind that these shoes have a lower profile than traditional boots. While they’re incredibly comfortable, those who need significant ankle support may want to look elsewhere. Additionally, sizing can be a touch larger, so consider trying them on before making a purchase.

This shoe is somewhere between a gym shoe and a boot. it has a reinforced toe, and is very solidly built. Also, the shoelaces are light reflective, a nice touch if you use it as a motorcycle boot. They are comfortable, easy to slip on (I bought the 12 W), and they do not seem to get easily scuffed or lose their color. I wouldn't recommend it as a running shoe, but is fine for weightlifting and they gym. Very high quality materials, well built, and I'm very happy with them.
Extremely comfortable, good grip. Safety toe
My husband wears nothing but Rocky brand for work boots and shoes. He says these are very comfortable and light weight. His only complaint was the younge of the shoe is not attached and slides all over when walking or moving no matter how tight he ties them. He wishes the boots tounge was stitched in like the other work boots and shoes he has.
Update: 1yr +Soles have separated on the inside of the foot on both shoes. Also, if you feed the laces through the top tab on the tongue it solves the problem of the tongue moving to the side of your foot. Tred is smooth now a little over a year in at the hall of the foot but I still have good traction. Still cozy but now I’m shopping for an alternative. When I purchased these they were $145. So with the price coming down it may be more worth the priceShort version:*Not displeased, but would not buy again*General comfort-average*No loop for laces to keep tounge in place, after a couple months this happens daily (see picture)*you can feel the base of the safety toe with your big toe after a while.Longer version:My job requires a safety toe, lots of metal detector checkpoints, and lots of walking (about 10k steps a day on concrete) and driving for a few hours a day regularly.I have always worn more heavy duty leather steel toe boots for work. Redwing, Thorogood, Twisted X, Keen (Pittsburg specifically, most comfortable work boots ever made but the sole falls off quick). My job requires a lot of airline travel and I wanted more of a standard looking safety shoe that also didn't look like I was ready for retirement. I also wanted a composite toe so i wouldnt have to take my shoes off at security checkpoints. By far the best looking safety shoes in my opinion. However, after wearing for a while I started to notice I could feel the bottom of the toe cap under my big toe. I can feel it through the insole in both shoes and if you haven't experienced this before it's like having a very small rock under the tip of your toe. I don't notice it most days, but once I do it's the only thing I can focus on.The tounge has also worn in and no matter how hard i try, I can't keep it from moving all the way to the side. I do wear thick socks at work so it doesn't bother me too much but this is such an easy thing to miss from a design aspect that I'm disappointed it's an issue at all.The soles provide good grip and the tread is very minimal. This is nice if you go between very dirty outdoor environments into clean customer spaces. You don't tread in all the dirt and mud.If I've been on my feet for 10 hours or so my feet do start to feel it, but in my experience that's unavoidable no matter what shoes you are wearing.Overall they are just ok. I don't hate them but I probably won't be buying them again when that time comes around
Have not worn for a day's work yet. I'm planning to up date review. First concern is the tounge is free to go and do anything it wants. Hopefully it will sit still today.Update they work great 👍 👌.They are proven to be a great buy. I can work all day on the concrete without the leg pain.I did have to slightly modify the tounge so it would stay in place.
Thought these were a lightweight hi top safety toed shoe; side by side comparison they were nearly as tall as the leather work boots I was trying to replace for summer heat in the concrete/steal warehouse I’m in with no ac units. Side note you’d think OSHA would tell TARGET the small fan’s pushing the hot air around are completely inadequate by themselves 🤷♂️
After a month I have no complaints super light weight and comfortable
Extremely comfortable and tough. I wear daily for work and it’s the best I’ve ever had. I tried on many prior to the Rocky’s.
