Very comfortable shoes as you would expect from Rockport. The shoes appear durables and good for all day wear with a variety of clothing options.
I bought a pair for Italy since there are dress codes in many of the cathedrals. These are able to dress up/down as needed and look great with everything, including shorts.These shoes have a soft, stretchy “mouth” that works with and without socks. Sole is cushy without being mushy. I wear a 16 extra wide and these fit really well, perhaps a tad too wide. Without ever wearing them before I wore them on 4 consecutive days during which I walked >15,000 steps each day. They still look new, they feel great and my feet love them. I’ve since ordered more pairs in multiple colors. My new go-to.UPDATE: 7 months later and these shoes are still the best shoes ever. They are my go to shoes for travel as they are light, look good with everything, pack down small, and I can walk all day and night without issues. Amusement parks, New York City, you name it. These shoes are just awesome.
I originally bought a pair for a trip to Europe and they were perfect -- comfy and sturdy, but refined enough for slipping into a nice restaurant or hotel. I walked many, many miles and they've held up well, except for the soles, which get worn down too quickly (relative to the rest of the shoe) and become dangerously slippery in rain.
