Ordered for work and they've met expectations. Thank you.
In the last 6 months I have discovered that finding a pair of breathable hard toe shoes, that also are actually wide, and have arch support is apparently to much to ask. I will admit I have an odd size foot at 11.5 4E, I've tried atleast 12 different brands now and to this point these shoes are the only one that comes close to fitting my size. Most notably for me, they have a wide enough toe box that I can walk a lot and not get blisters, note that they are not perfect, however if you need some breathability as well these might be your best bet. I also got the composite toe and it's been light enough not to really notice and does not set off metal detectors.Note: if you have a flat or fallen arch the support may be great for you, that said if you have any arch, or like me have a decent arch you will want to like at getting an insert or additional support. For this reason I've rated it a 4/5 stars, I have worn Reebok shoes before and these by far have the least comfortable insole of any I've worn before. I think it has to do with the materials they used to help them be rated for industrial use, that said I still find it hard to beleive that Reebok would approve a shoe with such a lack of support.Overall, if your looking for a safety she that has a wide toe box, is breathable, and has a composite toe you probably wont find a better option. I recommend using Amazon Wardrobe to try these out, I could not find anyone that had these in stock to try on and out city us a decent size.
Even with the “Wide” version the safety toe of these shoes make the toe very tight. Returned and ordered a size larger, and they work. (Although still not a perfect fit.)Edit after a year of wear: These shoes didn’t really hold up to my work load in a busy theater. The tops of the toes got big holes in them after about 6 months of wear. For the $100+ I paid for them I expect shoes/boots to last for at least a year and am pleasantly surprised if they last for more (like my Redwing BOAs, 4 years and still wearable.) This may just be a flaw in safety toe shoes in general, but just know, especially with all the sizing problems I walked away from this transaction disappointed. If you want shoes that will last a year plus, look elsewhere.
The memory foam has a very annoying zig-zag stitch right down the middle of your foot. It feels like you have a rock in your shoe. You can remove the insole and rip out the stitch if you want to spend the time to do this. Or you can just throw it away and put in your own insole. After I ripped out the stitches it feels much better but I also had to add an insole for Arch support.
Comfortable shoe for safety at work and it is a composite toe. Nice for data center work!
Size 12 looks like a clown shoe compared to my other size 12s
Use for my job at work do a lot of walking and required steel toe. They are light so it is nice to have since do a lot of walking
