I have to say that I am quite pleased with these shoes for work. Normally I have to try on 25 pair in order to find a some that fit because shoes keep getting discontinued by the time I need them again. The shoes looks just like regular sneakers, it's pretty hard to tell that they have a safety toe at all. They don't have that super large silly clown show hump in the front like many shoes do and take note that it doesn't say safety, steel, composite or any other kind of toe anywhere on the shoes if that is a requirement for you job, just FYI. Traction in dry and wet conditions are fantastic. I take a 14 eeeee wide and almost every safety shoe I've found cuts in to my foot. This one does not at all. I was kinda stunned. The shoes are so light that you don't even know they are on most of the time and at a size 14 wide, they don't look monsterous like my Sketcher's did. And it's the first safety shoe that I haven't had to put extra cushions in for them to be comfortable. The inner soles are something GEL like but very very soft and comfortable. This is definitely a nice look shoe for every age. If they have them again in a year I will for sure buy them again.
They fit to size. Build quality is great haven't been in a static environment to chance the esd.. or maybe I have and not noticed lolThe toe covers feel sturdy and don't clip or pinch my toes (keens did this)The laces has not frayed so far and plenty of length it looks good and feels good to wear. I don't feel any fatigue, or soreness at the end of the day even after high impact motions.I would recommend this.
I walk around on concrete all day in a shop. I wanted a steel toe boot but without the weight. The shoes are heavier than a regular pair of sneakers but i dont notice it when wearing them. These are a perfect fit and if anything they are wider in the toe box than I needed. I wear 11 1/2 to 12 depending on brand and bought these at 11 1/2.The sole is a little stiffer than regular sneakers but not like a biking shoe.I will probably remove the included padding and slip in some Dr Scholls.
Fits as expected. The arch support is there, but I found the insoles didn't have as much 'give' as I would like, so I replaced them. I now can wear them all day at work with little to no fatigue. They feel solidly constructed, but only time will tell.
The shoes look good, fit well. However, the soles aren’t very comfortable. They’re very stiff, so much that they make a lot of noise when walking. They’re causing knee pain, I usually stand for a few hours in them per shift. Going to try an insole to see if it helps
I ordered this one after a previous style ripped within 10 days and I am loving these. I waited to write a review cause I wanted to see how they feel after the initial break-in period and how well they hold up to my vigorous work routine.I am a PT Supervisor for UPS so I am always walking and running around the building, climbing up and down ladders, standing and working on metal gratings and occasionally climbing onto transverse belts to break jams caused by packages. On average I walk around 5 miles daily while at work. When you first hold them in your hand you can feel the weight difference right away as well as when you first put them on, but after a few times wearing them, you don't notice the difference. The gel insole is a little stiff but does support my arches which is a bonus. Some days my feet are sore others no so much. I am thinking of getting a softer insole to help.Out of 10 I would rate this a 9, only cause the insoles are too firm.As a bonus for me, since I have to walk through metal detectors the composite toe cap does not set off any alarms, which normally would force me to take my shoes off and put them back on so security can check them.UPDATE: September 2018I retract my previous statement about the gel insoles. I am guessing there is a break in period for them as well. No more soreness I am standing and walking more in them than previously stated. The shoes hold up pretty well, my only complaint is that mesh/cloth design covering the protective composite cap is does not hold up well to normal wear and tear.Overall all would I buy these again? Yes I would.
I bought these shoes 3 times. They are very comfortable I wear them not only on job site but also at office or even when I go to a hike. Mesh on top of toes will break in a year or less if you knee a lot and you are always on site. Otherwise it works fine for 2 years or so easily.
Shoes wear pretty good at first. The padding in the heel of the shoe has fallen down, leaving a lump at the top of my heel, making the shoe very uncomfortable. This is my third week wearing them. I will not be purchasing this product again.
