Right foot opening is bigger than left foot so right foot slips in and out when you walk. But I wore them so I have to keep them. I used my ortho insoles. Right foot opening caused rubbing on top of foot. I would have returned them if I noticed sooner. Junkety Junk Junk Junk.So the first pair came in a brown unmarked box. The second pair came in a branded box. These shoes are awesome, comfortable, durable, and for steel toes, look great. Great for summer outdoor installations and in my shop.
I bought these to work out in my home shop and to do yard work and whatnot.Wouldn’t hesitate to buy them again, but I hated them at first, took a few days to break them in. I immediately replaced the insoles with Superfeet for plantar fasciitis. My old red wing slip ons were finally worn out after 6-7 years and that style was discontinued years ago.Update: worn these a total of maybe 10 day’s throughout the summer to do yard-work & work in my home shop. The top of both shoes at the toes wore a hole in the outer layer after 1 day of kneeling down in dirt a few times to finish a small concrete sidewalk I had poured. Very weak material on top of the reinforced toe. Still comfortable, just very worn out looking for how minimally I have worn them. Probably would not buy them again as I mentioned in my original review.
Like most reviews say to, size up half a size at least! Sides fit fine but toe was very tight! Still good since it's the style of shoes I like to wear and work requires safety toe.
Not only they're comfortable as hell but they look badass for a slip on. I like them the outer sole seems legit and hard meaning they shouldn't wear out fast. I'm digging them so far if they hold up of walking on concrete for many months in which they should I will buy another pair. At first I thought the steel toe felt kind of tight but it really isn't. Legit quality of a safety shoe that I've seen and felt.
After wearing this steel toe shoe for 3 months, here is my review. When I started wearing this shoe everyone was questioning if this was a steel toe shoe. The shoe was light and easy to put on. Slip resistance was decent. I did step in some oil on the shop floor and didn't go sliding. I was able to still gain traction. After about about of month, my feet did start to hurt. I replaced the insole and this seems to help. Going into my third month, the fiber/material at the tip of the shoe did start to wear out. The material was coming apart. Not sure if was caused by me or just worn out. My other steel toe shoe never worn out at the tip of my shoe before though. I'll probably continue to wear this shoe a few more months before replacing it. Overall, I would not get this shoe again. Because of how fast the shoe wore out.
If you want something that looks like Vans but is an actual safety shoe, this is the pair to buy. I typically wear an 8.5 medium width with lace-up shoes, and this shoe fits fine. The insole has good cushion, but there is very little arch support. If you want arch support, then you will have to purchase after-market insoles.
Shoe feels comfortable but too narrow in the front of the toes.. I got the wide and nothing wide about it.
I love these shoes and they are a great value
