The Lugz men's Empire Lo Wr showcases an impressive combination of comfort, style, and functionality. The Flexastride Memory Foam Insole provides a plush feel underfoot, ensuring that you can wear these boots for extended periods without discomfort. Meanwhile, the EVA Cushion enhances shock absorption, making them ideal for walking on hard surfaces.
When it comes to protection against the elements, the water-resistant outer material offers peace of mind during light rain or wet conditions. However, while it performs well in typical weather, those who frequently encounter heavy downpours might want to consider additional waterproofing options.
The rubber outsole is another standout feature, providing excellent traction and slip resistance. This makes the boots suitable for various terrains, whether you're hiking through trails, running errands in the city, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll.
On the downside, if you’re looking for a standard width, you might find the 3X-wide sizing challenging to locate in retail stores. Additionally, the level of water resistance might not suffice during extreme wet conditions.
Overall, the Lugz Empire Lo Wr is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a stylish yet functional boot that prioritizes comfort without compromising on looks.

I am a big fan of these Empire Lo boots. Admittedly a little Imelda as it relates to the various styles of this boot. I'm a very happy fan of this brand and style. That said, this pair has all the trademark features I have come to appreciate in "Empire's" 1. They are the most comfortable footwear I've worn. Period. I go through shoes and boots pretty quickly so I've amassed a large first hand knowledge of many comparative brands from the cheap to the very "winged" expensive models. Nothing beats Lugz, specifically the Men's Empire Boot in fit and comfort. 2. The soles are have wide channel tread which helps with traction on pretty much any mud or grass surface and the rubber has the perfect about of elasticity to ensure perfect traction on pavement, hardwood, concrete and all flat or slick surfaces I have traversed with them. Specifically the soles are very durable and thick but are soft enough to adhere to slick or hard surfaces. The only drawback here is the wide tread again, the perfect size for ensuring traction on mud, dirt and grass occasionally picks up small items such as pea gravel or screws etc. The first time I experienced it I was at the range and had ejected 150 to 200 9mm rounds. On my drive home I noted my foot was tracking odd on the brake so I pulled over, checked my boot and found 3 brass casings wedged into the tread. While I thought it was funny it was truly a testament to how comfortable these boots are. In that I walked all around the range then into the parking lot with these shells in my tread and I didn't miss a step. Never knew they were there until I was driving home. Ultimately I wouldn't change a thing with the tread pattern or the rest of the thick sole. If it "ain't broke" don't fix it. 3. The construction of the boot is heavy duty. No expense has been spared and no corner cut. Stitching is tight and strong, material is thick and sturdy and cement used to attache the boot leather to the bottom half of the boot rarely gives. In my cases they have been waterproof. However, I did have the misfortune of having one of my older boots begin to come apart at the toe of the boot where it meets with the sole. I had to use some rhinestone cement to fix it. Once fixed, good as new. 4. The eyelet construction is strong and will last the life of the boot. I can't tell you how many other brands of boots I've had where the eyelet metal eventually worked loose and I had to lace the boots through the natural material or just get rid of them entirely. I would say at least 5 or 6 pairs from competitors had this issue. Not Lugz. These things are build like tanks IMHO. The eyelets wont give out and at least in my case, the laces have never broken- they are strong and I can say Lugz has even taken the time to match the color of the lace with the various shades of their boots. For example your buy a cream colored Empire and you lace with match in color. You buy a wheat colored Empire and your laces will match. All this said we haven't even talked about the comfort from the inside. The insole is pliable, thick and soft. Just enough arch support to make them your everyday footwear. Plenty of room to add arch support to make it the perfect boot. I put arches in every pair of shoes I buy more because of the long term benefits I've received from this simple shoe customization. When you protect your feet and care for them with a great boot and good arch supports you can walk or work all day long and still enjoy an evening at the mall. 5. The lowered heal on this style is where the rubber really meets the road. The boot does not sit so high on your achilles that it grinds into the back of your leg to stress your tendon or chafe. In fact, the Lugz Empire Lo sits just over the natural curve of the achilles which gives you a very solid fit that honestly seems customized. 6. The top edge of the boot and the tongue are no exception to the overall care and quality of this boot. Lugz has made the rim of the shoe strong and heavily padded to ensure the boot never cuts into your ankle. What's more, the tongue is wide and thick with padding as well and is not easily worn out. Trust me when I say you will enjoy all of these things about this boo.t At last count I have 1 back rip stop nylon pair, 1 gray veloured style, this fitted leather style, 1 tan veloured style and 1 wheat style. Thus, I've been wearing them a long time. Now the things that might not work for you. 1. The velour styles are tough to keep clean. I tried a shoe cleaning kit specific for this type of material but either the kits was just a waste of money and mostly snake oil or the velour just gets dirty. So, if you commonly get your boots dirty, think about getting a dark style - though the tan color does go well with blue jeans. Oh yeah, did I mention these things were so stylish? You can literally wear them to work, to the office and to the club. They compliment everything you wear. 2. For me these things are the perfect weight. Heavy enough to remind me I have good foot protection on but not so heavy I feel them on my feet when Im walking. For some, you may need to get used to the weight. They are a little heavy when compared to shoes but not so much when compared to the boots they were designed to compete with.
Probably one of the best buys on Amazon I have had, boots were packaged great...super comfortable and look amazing. Plan to buy another pair in a diff color! Luckily I am a Lugz person so the size was perfect to my other Lugz! Def will be back!!
The reason I keep buying them if they fit the way they’re supposed to their water resistance some problems is the topping comes off them, but there’s still water proof
I would buy another pair of these shoes for walking. They are not only comfortable, but they have a cool look that can be used for multiple purposes such as hiking on trails in the mountains of Virginia or wearing as a semi-dress shoe to church or a night on the town.
shoes fit goodbut the toe is coming unglued, and barking back at me, didn't last me 6 monthsdidn't wear every day , and was unhappy that they are falling apart, to me that was a lost of good hard work money, that i earned, i thought i was buy pair of shoesthat would last at least a yr or two, instead of less than a 6 months
Awesome looks! Super comfortable! 5 STAR SHOES!!
They don’t last ! They came apart in 7 months in the front! They are not what they used to be !!!
I got these shoes for their look, but also for the rugged sole as I will be going into wintery areas and thought this would have the traction of a boot but the comfort of a shoe. Expecting these to be heavy, clunky and stiff I was never more wrong. The shoes fit right to the size and were a joy to walk around in. The sole was flexible and didn't hurt my feet, and the feel of them were really light.
