Detailed Review

The KEEN Utility Women's Vista Energy Shift stands out in the competitive field of industrial work shoes, especially for women looking for comfort and utility. The composite toe design offers ample protection without weighing you down, making these shoes ideal for light-duty tasks in environments like manufacturing or warehousing.

The traction provided by the slip-resistant outsole ensures stability on slippery surfaces, which is a vital feature for any work shoe. Moreover, the moisture-wicking properties help maintain a fresh feel during long hours of wear, reducing the discomfort often associated with sweaty feet.

Despite their many advantages, it’s worth noting that some users may find the fit a bit snug, especially if they have wider feet, and a break-in period might be necessary to achieve the perfect comfort level.

Comfortable Pull-On

Keen has done it again. These are light weight and have a nice roomy toe box.

Good Shock Absorption For My Joints; Lighter Than I Expected

Product: KEEN Utility Women's Vista Energy Shift Low Composite Toe Slip on Industrial Work SneakersI have a lot of arthritis in both my legs. Any walking or standing, for even short periods of time, causes quite a bit of pain and swelling in my joints. When I know I’m going to be up on my legs for a while, I try to wear shoes that give me shock absorption and support. Since Keen shoes are known for people who are on their feet all day, I thought I would give them a try. These don’t look too “industrial”, although the toe box is wider than I normally wear. That wider toe box does make them more comfortable for me. I don’t have a particularly wide foot and ordered the medium width. These fit as I expected. I usually wear an orthotic in my shoes, so I order ½ size up to accommodate it. That’s how I ordered these, although I haven’t been having to wear the orthotic in them. They may be a bit large, but not anything I really notice. They have their own insert that is removable like you see with many athletic shoes. They are easy for me to get off and on.My joints are liking these shoes. They are giving me the extra shock absorption and support that I need. I was a bit worried they might be too heavy with the steel toe reinforcement, but I haven’t found that to be the case. While heavier than other shoes I have, they feel lighter than my running shoes. They certainly aren’t heavier than those shoes. The main issue I have with these shoes is the tongue area digs into the front of my foot, particularly when I’m sitting down.Overall, I’m happy with these shoes. They are sturdy and I should get a good life span from them.

Comfortable

Great support. Great comfort for a 9 hour shift on your feet

I am in the process of sending these back, it's a shame cuz they're very lightweight. They rub on my lower ankles with every step.

Rubbing at lower ankle

Sending back, they are very tight around my ankles and rub with every step. They are extremely lightweight though.

Do not buy

Sales person said that this was a comfortable shoe, not. Heavy, and rubs on the top of foot by ankle. Do not buy.

Incredible toe protection

KEEN makes GREAT shoes - have had nothing but good experiences with them. Generally I wear their hiking shoes though...this is my first time wearing a utility type of shoe of theirs. Here are some pros and cons:PROS:The toe box reinforcement is HARD. If you kick someone with these shoes on (hopefully it's an accident if you do LOL) you WILL HURT THEM. That is some serious steel toe reinforcement.Because of the above point, they make a great work shoe AND also a hiking low top, because there's no way you are stubbing your toe on a boulder or a branch with these on. You could wear these as every day shoes too...especially if you are clumsy and stub your toe often LOLThey slip on very easily.Cool design with nice accent colors. They are VERY comfortable. They are KEENs. They will last forever and so will the soles - same patented grip etc that all KEENs have is here on these too.CONS:The shoes are heavier than the typical KEEN shoe but that's surely because of the toe reinforcement. You do NOT notice or feel it while you are wearing them, but you definitely do when you take them off or put them on. I did not take off a star for this because it's sort of a given that a steel toe shoe will be heavier than one that is not...but mentioning it because this might be an issue for some people. All in all, these are a solid (pun intended) pair of shoes that are nice looking, versatile, and high quality, Would recommend!

Very nice composite toe protection. Shoes weigh around 1.8 pounds, so heavier than other KEENs

This review is for the KEEN Utility Women's Vista Energy Shift Low Composite Toe Slip on Industrial w (7 Wide, Steel Grey/Blue Glass). Very nice utility shoe from KEEN, with soft breathable mesh sides, comfortable ankle collar, easy slip-on style, and a rubber tread for secure footing. The foot bed is nicely padded, with an excellent arch support. From a protection perspective, it has an excellent composite toe box, as well as a stiff protective layer on the back of the heel. It’s an overall nice balance between cooling comfort and protective layers in key areas for optimal foot protection. The foot protection does come at a weight cost, so don’t expect this Utility shoe to be as light-weight as you may typically expect from KEEN. The total weight of the shoes is around 1.8 pounds, which is definitely a noticeable difference when compared to other similar looking hiking shoe styles from KEEN. But then again, these are intended for protection in an industrial environment where you need this type of protection, and not for light-weight hiking purposes.

Distinctive look - not much arch support

I feel like I should start by saying that I work in an office and several times a day walk into a "steel toe required" area. So, this is not a review by someone who stands or walks in these shoes all day, every day.I purchased these at a local shoe store. I was actually with my husband while he was shopping for new safety shoes but these caught my eye. I loved the look.In everyone other shoe I wear a 7 or 7.5. I bought an 8 because on one foot the 7.5 just felt a little cramped. Now I am thankful that I did because there is the room needed to add a small insert to improve the arch support. As someone who struggles with support, an insert is needed. If you aren't a chubby middle aged women, you might be fine with the support in the shoes as is.I do with they could breath a little better as it seems that they are going to a little on the hot side. Again, since my feet usually are sweaty, this might be more an issue with the user than with the shoe. :-)I really like them and they make me happy to wear. Since they are slip-ons, there isn't any type of adjustments so either they fit or they don't. Good luck in your search for comfy work shoes!
