I love these boots. I work on my feet and they are comfortable. I should have gotten these before. I will be getting another pair later . I was wondering if they have them in another color.
(Got these for my wife, whom wrote this review):This boot is a shade of RED, not brown. I was surprised at that when they arrived at my house, however, they fit well, feel comfortable, and smell like genuine leather. The laces are stiff and thick, which tells me that they’re great quality and will last a good, long while. I haven’t worn them at work yet. But I’m a manager that works 7-9 hours a day, walking and standing about 90% each day. I typically get new work shoes every 3-4 months due to the wear and tear from my very, demanding job.
1. Durability (0): I wore these a total of six times to work and in that time the toes are already showing steel. (That's why I'm asking for a refund). For context I'm a mechanic. I'm often looking under trucks on my knees or changing tires. These couldn't cut it for 6, 9-hour shifts. I expect boots to last at least a year.2. Comfort: Less than a week where they were comfortable. The first day wearing them the tongue was cutting into my leg and my feet were dying from the stiffness. But break in time is normal for boots. I suggest keeping the ankle laces loose to start as you stretch out the boot to your feet. The laces are much more comfortable if you tie them at the second loop as I did in the picture. That way they don't slip into your shin.3. Style: these are as close as you'll get to cute working boots! I wish they lasted. They are less nimble than they look in the photo, but they're steel toe so a little clunky is expected.I'm hoping they're refund me for durability issue. Good luck!
I got these for rainy days, and because I have arthritis in my big toe and need a stiffer shoe. I love the fit of these, plenty of width at the toes but fitted around the heel and ankles. I’ve added cushion insoles and use a carbon plate in my bad foot, all fit into these boots with ease. I ordered ½ size up for extra room for the carbon insole, I feel the size is accurate.
First the positives. The construction is *solid* I have had these three months and they have not fallen apart. I wear them 8 to 10 hours a day, six days a week in a meat department, lots of water and cleaning chemicals and blood and fat on the floor. No tears, no rips, the soles are not falling off. The waterproofing is incredible, and the slip resistance works very well. They are high quality construction, best durability in boots I have ever seen. Now for the negative. The steel toe is almost intolerable. With thick wool socks (meat departments are *cold*!), they have a snug but not uncomfortable fit, I have plenty of toe wiggle room. But the pain from the steel toe leaves me limping home every day. I just wish I they made these boots without the steel toe. Because otherwise they would be wonderful and i would have given them a 5+ star rating. Oh well, back to the old skid-proof sneakers. :-(
No blisters despite wearing then 2 days in a row in muddy conditions with plenty of room in the toebox.
I like these very much! It would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the tongue being cut slightly too short allowing the laces to lie against my shin when laced up. Likely a defect. I have two pair of these boots and on one pair i notice this...the other pair not so much, but the tongue is definitely too short on both.Other than that these seem fairly solid. I wear them for railroad work and i'm pretty hard on work boots. Not my first keen boots. Of course they discontinued my favorite style 4 years ago and i brand bounced for several years before returning to try these. I'm not disappointed.
My wife LOVES these boots. Waterproof, sturdy & safe. A 900 pound cow stepped on her foot the other day & she didn't feel a thing. Keen got this one right. Highly recommend
