It took about four days to break in. At first the right boot was digging into my ankle with every step. Almost regretted purchasing them at this point. But they are comfortable now. They do feel very heavy though. I climb a lot of stairs at work and it feels like I have on ankle weights. But I can work 12 hours shifts in these boots without pain.
Very good material!! They fit good!! Not too tight!!! Heavy, but good
I usually love this brand but I can not hardly wear these shoes. The ankles of the shoes have something hard that pushes endlessly and is so painful. Do not recommend
You know when you buy Keen, you are getting a quality product and these boots are no different. Great for hiking, work, anything you need a sturdy, protective boot. They aren't too stiff, though, so they are still comfortable to wear.
These boots are great for a walk or hike, they have a thick strudy sole and lightweight mesh and suede uppers. They are water proof, I tested them in a few puddles after a recent heavy rain. The fit is really good and they do have a steel safety toe. They are great for working on a farm, construction really any outdoor activity. Suprisiingly breathable, my feet stayed dry even after a 3 mile hike on a warm day . The boots are worth the money and I thought the sizing was true.
These boots are no joke, man. They are super heavy duty and solid. Some thoughts:They are WORK boots and not really intended to be hiking boots. They're heavy and protective, as made evident by the steel toe. If I wore them hiking, there's a good chance my legs would get tired faster due to the weight of them. However, worn as work boots, I would absolutely feel safe and secure in them.I am a true size 7, but I ordered a 7.5 because I made the mistake of looking up reviews on how Keens fit. What I found was the majority of people suggesting to order up a size due to Keen's tendancy to fit narrow. HOWEVER, this was a mistake. When they designed this particular shoe, they set out to make it more true to size than is typical for them, with the wider footbed. So, I messed up. I should've trusted the listing information, which clearly states this. Lesson learned by me and passed on to you: ORDER YOUR NORMAL SIZE!
I got these for my bug out bag. You never know when you will be in an emergency, and might have to walk your way home. So that is what I got these for. They are really great quality, they are well constructed. They have lots of ankle support, so I think they would be good for long hiking. They fit pretty well and leave me with enough toe room to be comfortable. They are a little bit heavy but I think it’s because they are so heavy duty and high-quality. The composite toe is great for protection. And they also say that they are waterproof! This is a great brand and I would definitely recommend these!
These are super comfy waterproof work shoes, great for working outside, construction work, or hiking. I used to sell Keens at the major brick and mortar retailer and we never had any issues with this brand, Keens always had a very loyal section of return customers! This company is also know for its wide mold fit and people with wider feet always appreciated the wide toe box. Given the fact that this work shoe has reinforced toe construction, it is especially useful as it allows your toes to move freely inside it and you do not need to buy a bigger size to accommodate freedom of movement when you feet get swollen after a long day of work.Overall, it is not a cheap shoe, but given the long history in quality shoe making Keens have, this price is expected as you wont need to buy another pair of shoes like these any time soon, they do hold up really well!
