Detailed Review

When it comes to work footwear, achieving a balance between safety and comfort is crucial. The KEEN Utility Men's Flint Low excels in both areas. The asymmetrical steel toe offers protection while allowing enough space for comfort, which is a significant advantage for people who spend long hours on their feet.

The traction provided by its non-marking rubber outsoles enhances stability and grip. This is particularly beneficial for contractors who may find themselves working on slick surfaces. Additionally, the moisture-wicking textile lining and water-resistant leather keep your feet dry, thereby improving overall foot health during physically demanding tasks.

Support is another highlight of this model. With features such as the Torsional Stability Shank and electrical hazard protection, you can feel secure in high-risk environments. However, some users might experience a slight break-in period, so it's advisable to wear them gradually to achieve the utmost comfort.

In summary, if you're looking for a reliable work shoe that offers safety, comfort, and durability, the KEEN Utility Men's Flint Low is an excellent choice. Consider trying them out for yourself to see how they perform on the job.

Ready to wear on day one!

I've already put in about 150,000 steps in the two weeks I've owned these shoes - that's about 70 miles of walking on concrete and steel. I'm 290lbs (130kg) - so you know I'm dropping down a lot of force. The first 12-hour shift, I brought my old shoes just in case I needed to ease into breaking-in these new shoes but never had to make the switch - wore them all 12 hours (30,000 steps). Just as comfortable on the first day of wearing them as I was in my old shoes after 4 million steps. Great style, color. They breathe well. Lightweight for work shoes, the toe box is ample (and is why I switched over to Keen). Even the insole is great - usually I have to immediately put in some Dr. Scholl's, but not these.

Great Work shoes

I use these shoes to walk around walmart while I work. I'm constantly dropping heavy boxes and objects on my feet due to clumzyness. In addition, I typically accidentally run my foot over with a pallet jack when im zoned out and this has helped tremendously with it not causing me pain. The shoes do feel a bit heavy after walking for a long time with them on. The laces feel like a normal material (not cheap, but not top-of-the-line). When tieing my shoes they can feel loose if you do not untie them after slipping them on and off multiple times, but retieing them will fix that. The shoes feel and have shown some durability already and I haven't notice many scratches, but there's no rips or breaks in it.

Duck-footed people of the world... here's your safety shoe!

If you have W-I-D-E feet then these shoes might just make you do the "Happy Feet" dance. Finding standard style shoes is hard enough for folks like me with wide (8.5EEEE) feet, but finding a decent pair of properly fitting STEEL TOE/SAFETY shoes is an exercise in frustration that's often Mission: Impossible. For years (decades) my poor duck feet have been uncomfortably, often painfully, crammed into untold numbers of shoes from all manner of companies promising true "wide" width but were, more often than not, long on promise and short on delivery. Sure, most wide width safety shoes are wider, but the actual steel toe inserts are usually just standard ("M") width units sewn into a wider shoe. This results in the 'ring finger' toe and/or pinky toes being rubbed by the outer edge of the too narrow steel toe cap. Yowch!Up until now I had been enduring New Balance, because they're one of the few footwear manufacturers that cater to widefoot folks. On the advice of a co-worker, I took a chance and ordered these Keen steel toes. This was my first pair of KEENS, but they certainly won't be my last! Let me just say "WOW!" Imagine my delight at being able to slide my tootsies into a pair of steel toes that did NOT cramp my feet OR toes. In fact, there's actually enough room in the toebox of these Keens to spread my toes apart and wiggle them! Hallelujah!!! (((Please note however, that I bought my shoes a full size LARGER than my true foot size. Once on and breaking in, I realized that I could have probably gone with only a half size up, but I almost always buy work shoes a little bigger to give my feet ample room to swell, as they inevitably will over the course of a work day.))) With that said, I cannot guarantee that these Keen's will work like magic for you, but my feet have never been happier. Fit & finish are excellent. The price, while higher than many others in the same style range, is well-worth it just to have safety shoes for work that fit COMFORTABLY. If you spend hours on your feet like I do, then the every extra dollar you spend on these Keens will seem like one of the best financial investments in the history of ever. Now let's just hope these shoes hold up to the rigors of 12hr days on concrete, 6 - 7 days a week. After almost a month, I am far less tired at the end of the day and my feet are feeling zero pain. (I will stop back and edit my review if there are any problems or issues.)

Absolutely BRILLIANT work boots

Absolutely BRILLIANT work boots. I have struggled to find comfortable work boots in recent years, maybe my age (60) and maybe a bit of extra weight but over the last 3 - 4 years I have struggled with sore feet and often took several pairs of shoes and sneakers to work so I could change shoes during the day. Working as a landscaper means I'm outside on uneven terrain and always on my feet and often carrying large loads and these boots have made a HUGE difference to my feet... and I mean HUGE!!!! NO sore feet, nothing at all, come home and wear the boots around my garage and garden which I haven't done with any other boot for many years, I couldn't wait to get other boots off my feet.Keen work boots are not available where I live (New Zealand) but their hiking shoes/boots are and I've owned several pairs and loved them, they were super comfortable and lasted well, in fact I have a pair that are now over 7 years old and have done a LOT of work but still going strong. I started using my Keen hiking boots a work as a backup pair and they were so comfortable, no sore feet at the end of the day so I looked online to see if they did a line of work boots.... they have a big range, was hard to decide which boot to choose but I liked the look of these boots and they had good reviews and I'm very pleased to say they now have another glowing review. My older Keen boots were made in the USA, these are made in Vietnam, disappointing and I hope they last as well as the previous US made boots but even if they don't I'm ordering more Keen boots, maybe something a bit heavier for those winter days in the mud. I've been wearing these as a summer boot, we have a mild all year round climate so they will be fine even in winter although may not bee so great on wet days.Highly recommended boot from a very happy customer.

Awesome work boot!! Especially if you have plantar fasciitis

This is my second pair of these boots. The reason I bought a second pair for just for everyday day use. My first pair I use for work only. I loved the first pair so much, I bought second pair. I have had these boots for over 4 months now and they are exceptional!! There is plenty of room in the box for your toes, and they are a true fit to size. I have plantar fasciitis and these boot did the trick. I am on my feet 5+ hours, out of an 8 hour day on concrete floors and walk a lot. Since I have had these boots, I have NO pain whatsoever in my feet. These are not waterproof, which allow your feet to breath so when you take them off, your feet are not a sweaty mess. Definitely a five star boot!
