These shoes are very stiff out of the box. I've been wearing them for almost a week and they're still pretty stiff. That said, I spend most of my days in my office or in meetings (which these days are mostly virtual), so I haven't put a lot of miles on them yet. I have made 6000 - 10,000 steps a day in them over the last week, and even as stiff as they are, they are not uncomfortable. I have been wearing Red Wing steel toe shoes and Wolverine composite toe boots for the past several years, both of which are more comfortable out of the box. I needed some low cut steel toe shoes that are waterproof and can't find the Red Wings, so I'm trying these out. If they'll loosen up a bit, they should be great. The fit is as expected ( I normally wear a 12 and the 12s in these fit well), the foot bed and arch support are pretty much standard compared to my other shoes. Cushioning is good.
This shoe is comfortable, well made and looks great
They are durable but are HOT during day even on mild day. Comfortable otherwise
I didn’t see anything wrong with the shoes except the size. I ordered an 11.5 W and rec’d a 7D. Will reorder in hopes they send the correct size next time.
This is an effective waterproof shoe with steel toe protection for safety. The Keens I have purchased previously are virtually indestructible (and still in use for muddy/messy locations), and even thought they are NOT cheap, they provide significant value for the money!
Only wore them for a week, very happy y so far. Firm support but comfortable. Little hard to get tight as they are pretty stiff but i found that i can just leave them tied and slip them on. Flex in the toe isn’t much but I wasn’t really expecting much from a steel toe. Will try to report back in a few months.
I've been wearing these for a couple of years at a work site. They are a bit hard on the bottoms of my feet but some cushioned insoles have helped a bit.I never had occasion to see how waterproof they were besides having to walk through a little mud. This week I got caught in a torrential downpour. I found that these aren't waterproof at all, or at least so you'd notice. My feet, socks, and the shoes were soaked through. Hopefully they will dry out OK in a few days.
Well constructed and very comfortable for a steel toe work shoe.
