I've been wearing a pair as my standard daily for almost a year now. Has held up very well in that time, I expect will last another year or more. Open enough to prevent swamp foot in the summer, closed enough that with some thick socks I was warm enough outside for several hours unless temp got below about 20F. This is some really versatile footwear. Much lighter than a traditional steel toe boot but it has saved my toes a couple times over the last year. Really glad I found this. If you're looking for a middle of the road solution that's comfortable in most seasons and weather but offers protection, I highly recommend.
I have size 12 feet that are wide. I bought the 13 wide and then ended up with the 14 wide. These are just really good shoes - not just good steel toe shoes, but good shoes when compared to other shoes without a steel toe. Clearly they are not metatarsal boots, but if you don't need metatarsal protection, these are the Schnizzle. I wear them just because they feel great, and I have never said that about any steel toe shoes in my life, and I am 55.Not so great for walking in snow, but you knew that. They are hot weather shoes, and they are cool.I love them.
I just received these. I ordered an 11 wide, which is my actual foot size. Now I bought these because I was looking to a more supportive fisherman style sandal that had some traction to them, and are leather and that I'm going to wear "Without Socks" Central Florida resident here.I truly wasn't expecting much with the $59 price tag.. lets face it, but was hoping for something better than my standard Leather fisherman crocs that are discontinued and very hard to find now. These are also my first pair of Keens, I NEVER bought them because for years and years I see and hear complaints of Keens falling apart, I also dont like the Big Bulbus front of KEEN footware but for $59. i figured if I get a year out of them, I'm good to go.. honestly. So here's my take on them...upon opening the box, I was sooo pleased NOT to SEE the Bulbous front of the foot, making them look weird on your feet. The Quality "Appears" to me top notch, great looking leather , Style, Even for a steel toed boot.. That I NEVER WEAR. construction worker for 40 years. I don't do steel toe!!I slipped off the Croc and placed my feet in these and It is a lil snug... Without a sock.. which is okay because I walked around with both shoes on for a little bit, and I can tell that I'll keep them, and that it'll take a few hours or cpl of days to stretch the leather out some..But I don't think that they'd fit so Good with an Ankle sock on .. they'd be Too Fight at the sides of Pinkie toe and top portion of my foot.I don't know what anyone else does in those situations, whether you go wider or size up. I for one am not into a longer looking shoe just to make it fit right.. I'll just go with another brand.. honestlySo with that said,, I really like the style, looks, they feel really supportive, THEY FIT WITH NO SOCKS !!again, I'm hopeful that they break in with in a cpl times of wearing them.they're a keeper for me.. I'm not the reviewer type. But I do base my purchases of items on weeding out other peoples reviews and base my decision on that..I'll update in a week or so of wearing them.I hope they don't stink from not wearing socks with them.. heard that was an issue with keens too... we'll see.
I have an extremely limited range of motion. And extremely precise.I hav at least 20 pairs of sandals/sneakers,and hiking shoes/boots.These are Merril ,Orthofeet,Sketchers(they are good if you know the right fit,BUT THESE are the first time 65+)( I’ve ever worn a rugged, leather, sturdy, eye catching, steel toe Sandal! And they are so much more than a sandal.I guess they are up to code safe industrial Sandals?!? Threw these in on a try&buy!I have used them in the cold &damp forest and they were everything I expected or more.Great shoes, sandals, boots,Can’t wait until summer!
I just got these this evening and I know steel toed sandals sound silly but I love these things. I live in DFW and work in a garage so these are nice to have for safety and don’t make your feet as sweaty. The sole feels comfy and these are also legit safety shoes with slip and oil resistance. I may update this if these disappointment me but I have to say they have made a great first impression.
Feet good but feel a bit clunky, someone said they look like mary janes .
Love them, they fit great, look good and after a 12 hour shift, they still feel good
Comfortable foot bed, leather high quality, hardly know there's a steel toe--all good. Lace up system is weird--there's this dangling thing that has no place to go unless you tuck it under the laces. Shoes are heavier than expected but assume the foot bed will last longer? Although there are holes and it looks like a sandle, doesn't seem like it's that much cooler to justify purchase.. Interesting "shoe", will see how breaks in and holds up? Jury is out.
