I love wearing these. They breathe, they cushion, they look great… I came right back and order another color.
They're a cool design but the new keen sole in all their shows is not comfortable. The heal is raised a quarter inch higher than the forefoot, with a weird swoop down under the arch of the foot which puts unwanted pressure on the pinky toe metetarsal, the little bone nub on the outside of your foot.If it wasn't for that they'd be decent. Though they still were a bit loose and large for my size. A little floppy on the foot and don't hug your foot well unless you really strap em down. There's other, better barefoot minimalist shoes on here.
They were okay. I had to return because they were too big. I have been wearing the same size keens for 12 years so it was odd.
Nice lightweight shoe that is comfortable. I dripped bleach on the canvas so now they look kinda crappy, but that's not Keen's fault.
I now have 3 pairs of these in 3 different colors. The leather is so soft and the shoes feel like you have slippers on. I am a painter and purchased white ones to wear with my painters whites. They were so comfortable I went back for the tan and black pairs. Keen makes excellent products!
Pros: fabric and style was nice.Cons: joint pain!. I have had and love “barefoot” type shoes with similar soles but never felt pain in my knees and joints like these. Walking short distances like grocery shopping and home was okay but anything more was painful! I walk at least 7 miles a day and within 1/2 mile felt discomfort. I tried them for 2 months here and there and every time it was the same thing. I wish I could return but they will get donated instead!
If you need any kind of arch support, these shoes are not it.
I like Keen shoes. They are well-made and comfortable to wear. While they are not cheap to buy, they should last several years of normal use.
